About the Author
Lily Malone might have been a painter, except her year-old son put a golf club through her canvas. So she wrote her first book, His Brand of Beautiful, instead. Lily has now written six full length rural romance stories and a novella all published by Harlequin Escape. Her debut trade paperback, The Vineyard In The Hills, was published by Harlequin MIRA in September 2016. Last Bridge Before Home is the third of three books set in the fictional Western Australian town of Chalk Hill, a town which, in Lily's imagination, is about halfway between Manjimup and Mount Barker on the Muirs Highway. Book One was Water Under the Bridge, published in February 2018, which is Jake and Ella's story; and Book Two, The Café by the Bridge, followed Taylor and Abe.
When she isn't writing, Lily likes gardening, walking, wine, and walking in gardens (sometimes with wine). She also doesn't mind the odd game of cards and loves her regular Thursday Night hand with the Card Girls. She lives in the Margaret River region of Western Australia with her husband, and two handsome sons who take after their father. Lily is a member of Australian Rural Fiction and Australian Fiction Authors. She loves to hear from readers and you can find her on Facebook, and on Twitter: @lily_lilymalone. Seth is mesmerised by Remy's grace and beauty and immediately makes moves to get to know her. But Seth's changed behaviour doesn't go unnoticed by both his mother and his production partner in the business, Rina. Both women are bitter and jealous for their own reasons and gunning for Remy, who is no match for their scheming.
The story resumes five years later when Seth buys up a new vineyard in the Adelaide Hills and finds Remy is one of their top grape suppliers. Having been poisoned against her for so long, it's going to take time for Seth and Remy to trust one another again and to get over the hurt of betrayal and find out if love can survive.
A great story set in Australian vineyards.A real page turner and well paced.
This story was great from the descriptions of the country that I remember. The characters were nice and even nasty making it an interesting yet lovely read.
Recommend to all - I Thoroughly enjoyed it.
From the opening scene I loved the early premise and the author's vivid writing style. We meet winemaker and CEO of Lasrey Estate Wines, Seth Lasrey. Seth is trapped within his own enormous responsibilities and workload as he watches his employee, Remy, in her dress "the colour of a ripe slice of watermelon" as she flirts with his brother Blake, at a wine festival. Yet with every disapproving glance Seth shoots in their direction there is a giveaway to the reader that he's fast falling for Remy. The way this first attraction begins and grows between Remy and Seth is sweet and innocent. So many life changing events depicted in the story but Remy’s characters outlook was so positive. This is a story that’s portrayed over a timeline of more than five years yet the author nails the feelings & moments perfectly. Another lovely quality in this story is that the reader has a rare opportunity to experience first hand the way the main characters mature with time and separation. The book is just that good it changed this readers perception of some of the more dubious characters within the story over time.
So Far Into You is a lovely read about two decent people who find love in the beautiful & challenging environment of the Australian wine industry. Adding to its charm is the author's knowledge of the wine industry which made the setting feel very authentic rather than just a backdrop to get the characters together. 5 Merlot loving Stars
Seth locates her several years later. He's bitter from all the stories he's heard & has thoughts of revenge. However doubts creep in, then there's that spark again between the two of them. Remy is just so wonderful, selfless & caring. This tale is all centred around the wine industry & 2 of the main grape growing regions in Oz.
I'll leave it at that so you can experience the rest for yourself.
Remy is an unusual heroine - strong and independent in all the right ways, yet bad luck dogs her from the start. She has a tendency to create enemies in just the sort of people who hold a grudge and intend to make her life hell.
Um...and then there's that overheard phonecall...but I won't spoil it for you.
Best read with a glass of McLaren Vale white in your hand...as I did! Five stars.

This was a captivating read. I have been anxious to read another book by Lily Malone because I loved ‘Fairway To Heaven.’ I read that at least twice maybe three times.
This book is written in two parts. The first covers the meeting and falling in love between Seth and Remy. It also includes a couple of dishonest people that work at the vineyard who are jealous and want nothing more than to be rid of Remy Roberts. She was too much competition. His evil mother was involved in this sham and Remy was fired the day after Seth left for his trip. Remy is threatened by his mother to leave town and never contact them again or she would ruin her and she would never be allowed to work in the wine industry again. Remy is young and has so many responsibilities. Her father died and the loan sharks are coming after her for his debt. She also helps support her mom. Her mom and her pack up everything they own to go and find employment for Remy and a place to live. During the five years she has been gone Seth’s mother has convinced him that Remy did horrible things (totally made up lies...I wanted to throttle her.) Seth has grown to hate Remy for what he has believed she has done.
Part Two - This basically consists of the two reconnecting after the five-year separation. They have both suffered much heartache, loss and loneliness those years without each other and it doesn’t take long for all those feelings to come rushing back. The road is not easy by any means and there are still forces working against them. trying to break them up permanently.
I highly recommend ‘So Far Into You’ and its author, Ms Malone. You are a wordsmith of the best sort. The stories you write (the two I have read so far) are beautifully woven and have a depth that is not readily available in many books today. I also want to thank you for not having any cheating or betrayal as far as faithfulness goes. I’m sure Seth may have been a playboy but thank you for not throwing his exes in our faces. When our heroes and heroines get together, I find it sad and frustrating during a bump in the road of their relationship they turn to another.
