Muy buen reloj, excelentes materiales. No es muy grande ni muy pequeño, perfecto para uso diario o eventos semi formales.
The Sapphire Crystal is good to have; only stuff like diamond could scratch/scuff a Sapphire Crystal because it is the next hardest mineral after diamond...
I've had the watch less than a week, so this is an "out of the box" impression review. It is big. It measures 9/16" thick. The dial itself if about 1 3/4", but the flat part (not the band) that sits on your wrist is a full 2"...I guess the "Night Vision" light causes it to be a little bigger than it otherwise would be. It feels big and bulky. I would have preferred a little less bulk.
On to the light functions. The luminescent hands don't glow in the dark much...but then again, I've never seen a watch where they do. The "Dial Illumination Mode" works well making the dial visible in the dark without being blinding. The LED flashlight I guess would be handy if I didn't always have an iPhone on me that basically does the exact same thing (and I'd prefer NOT to drain the battery on the watch prematurely, so I'll probably always opt to use my phone instead). There are a few more weird light modes (blinking locator mode, "intense" blinking mode) that seem completely useless. There is also a near end of battery life indicator, that I imagine will be useful, but could also be annoying if it continues to alert until the battery gets changed?
I believe the manual says the batteries (there are separate batteries for the light functions and the watch itself) will last about 2 years, which seems a little short considering how much of a pain it can be to find someone who can perform the battery service on these things.
All that being said, I'm not sorry I bought it. It is an attractive watch and I've had good experience with the Victorinox watches in the past. I'm hopeful that I can get 15-20 years out of this watch as well.
