FIT-Initially, wearing these was TORTURE! I wet the shoes & wore them around the house, then wet them again when I took them off & stuffed the big toes w/ clean rags. In the meantime, I ordered 39's in purple because I was sure I'd have to return the first pair. I was finally able to get the 38's to stretch perfectly & now they are my favorite pair of vibes to wear. I still kept the purple ones, and they fit OK, but don't have the wonderful "glove" feel that my black pair does, truly like being barefoot.
FUNCTION-This style has a very thin sole that is great for weight training & floor exercises, but NOT for spin bikes (OUCH) or forefoot/barefoot running unless you are experienced in the proper form. For those things, I'd recommend the more padded Bikilas.
OVERALL-If you can push through the initial break-in period, these are great shoes for anyone wanting a minimalist style for casual wear and low-impact exercise.

I have not taken these shoes off since I bought them! I've heard people comment about how comfortable five fingers were, but now I understand why! I bought these for a Rugged Maniac mud race I'm doing in a few months. I would have never guessed they would replace my running shoes so quickly. I have extremely high arches and these shoes fit perfect as long as you don't tighten them too much. I'd highly recommend socks at first until your feet get used to them.
If they were an authentic pair, and I'm not sure that they were, they were poorly made and no where near the quality of previous pairs.
I was expecting the tread to be different, but the upper was stiff and thin with no interior label for sizing as all my others.
They were also about 3 sizes too small and looked like a child's version.
Very disappointing purchase.
If you're not used to these kind of shoes, I'd say it takes about 3 weeks to get totally acclimated. You run differently - striking on the ball of your feet instead of your heel. But if you make it thru the transition, they are incredibly comfortable. That said, I only use them to run inside on a treadmill or maybe on pavement. This particular style won't work on dirt roads with rocks, etc.
I typically buy a 38 or 39 in Vibram and had a hard time finding the right size for the KSO Evo. I ordered the 38 and it feels just a bit small, but these shoes will definitely stretch over time so I think it will be fine. But if you're on the fence, I'd suggest going up a size. Note that they are always tough to get on at first.
Overall, I'm happy with these and they're pretty much exactly what I was looking for.
