From the Back Cover
In light of the discovery of autoimmune/inflammatory syndrome induced by adjuvants, or ASIA, Vaccines and Autoimmunity explores the role of adjuvants specifically aluminum in different vaccines and how they can induce diverse autoimmune clinical manifestations in genetically prone individuals.
Vaccines and Autoimmunity is divided into three sections. The first contextualizes the role of adjuvants in the framework of autoimmunity, covering the mechanism of action of adjuvants, experimental models of adjuvant–induced autoimmune diseases, infections as adjuvants, the Gulf War Syndrome, sick building syndrome (SBS), safe vaccines, toll–like receptors (TLRs), TLRs in vaccines, pesticides as adjuvants, oil as an adjuvant, mercury, aluminum and autoimmunity. The second section reviews the literature on vaccines that have induced autoimmune conditions, such as MMR and HBV. The final section covers diseases in which vaccines are known to be the solicitor for instance, systemic lupus erythematosus and whether they can be induced by vaccines for MMR, HBV, HCV, and others.
Edited by leaders in the field, Vaccines and Autoimmunity is an invaluable resource for advanced students and researchers working in pathogenic and epidemiological studies.
Summary of how adjuvants can induce diverse autoimmune clinical manifestations in genetically prone subjects
Review of the literature on all vaccines that have been found to induce autoimmune conditions
Full discussion of autoimmune diseases in which vaccines are known to be the solicitor
Excellent source for future pathogenic and epidemiological studies
Edited and authored by leaders in the field

I have had the book a couple of weeks now and have purused it. The chapters summarize the existing medical research on the topic of vaccines and autoimmunity. At first, I was concerned there was too much corporate influenced science reflected in the summaries in the book, but after further scrutiny I believe this book is a very credible work, and a landmark one. In at least one case, the editors do mention that a study concluding the vaccine in question did not cause the disease in question was sponsored by the vaccine manufacturer and was therefore probably biased. This information markedly increases my confidence in the summaries provided. In addition, they do not beat around the bush when discussing the subject of aluminum adjuvants and the neurological, genetic, and immune system harm they are known to do. This frank discussion by leading researchers in the field of vaccines and autoimmunity directly contradicts the headlines that regularly scream across magazines, newspapers and web pages, and points the finger at nanonized aluminum adjuvants as a factor in many modern epidemics, including Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and Autism. The book is an extremely valuable reference to locate the most important studies in any given area.
