Product Description

From USA Today Bestselling Author M. Robinson

Ysabelle

They say in order to find yourself you have to go home, but what if home is what you’re escaping from. I went to Miami to discover myself; never in my wildest dreams, did I think home would become a three-letter word.
VIP.
I was the dream.
I was the illusion.
I was the fantasy.
Until him…
Everything went to hell in hand basket the moment we laid eyes on each other.
I wanted him.
He wanted me.

Sebastian

I have always been a man who made decisions based on other people’s feelings, wants, and desires.
I was selfless.
I never wanted to hurt anyone.
Especially her.
The moment I met her… I wanted her.
I loved her.
For the woman she was.
For the woman she wanted to be.
But most of all…
For the woman she was, when she was with me.

This isn’t a love story, but a story about love.

The beginning: A point in time or space where something starts.
32-year-old Sebastian Vanwell, a very successful yacht broker, always loved the design and architecture of a luxurious yacht. His only addiction was being on the water. He loved it, he thrived on it, and he needed it in his life.

After a very stable, loving childhood with a few bumps, Sebastian married the love of his life: the one person who he knew would always be there. Julia was his rock, and he loved her more than life itself. Sebastian kept his addiction to the water under control, wanting to keep his time with his wife and son his number one obsession. That was, until he saw her.

Ysabelle Telle hit him hard, knocking the wind from his lungs. This new addiction haunted him, the one compulsion that he couldn't control no matter how hard he tried. Coming from worlds apart beautiful, dark, complected Ysabelle didn't have the rich, protected background that Sebastian had. She had lived a life of hell, growing up in poverty and horrific living conditions with a drug-addict mother who never cared. Ysabelle now lived for one person, and one person only: herself. She was pure perfection. Her beauty, along with a flawless body, had men lined up and driveling over her- ensuring her success as a VIP.

There are many words that describe the effects when two diverse worlds like theirs collide. They both have too much to lose to get caught in the forceful pull, which could destroy them both.

I truly enjoyed this book. It kept me so engaged. I was so drawn to all of the characters. M. Robinson know how to draw you in and keep you there. Her writing of the love scenes was phenomenal. I recommend this book to anyone who loves to read love stories that include affairs.

OMG !! Where Oh Where to start: I only recently discovered this Amazingly Talented Author in September this year when I read Complicate Me, which I thoroughly and absolutely loved..BUT somehow I failed to realise that there were other earlier masterpieces, YES, masterpieces in VIP and the VIP Series as well as Tempting BAD: VIP Spin Off. Last week whilst on holidays I read ALL the VIP Books over a 3 day period and can not believe how M Robinson's works are not given greater exposure. I seriously loved ALL the main characters, Ysabelle, Sebastian, Madam etc, and was impressed with the complexities of the journey faced by each of them throughout all of the VIP Books. I do not like to reveal spoilers when giving a review other than to say that I have read over 300 Books this year and M Robinson is definitely in my Top 10 list of Exceptional Talented Authors and would recommend ANY & ALL of her books. This book will leave you wanting more !

*****5-Smokin Hott & Gut Wrenching- Stars
this review contains minor spoilers

This isn't a love story, but a story about love.

Well....that was everything I hope for in a book -fab characters, a unique story, a crap ton of angst & smokin hott lovin. This book seriously had some of the steamiest sex scenes I've read in a while. M Robinson has definitely entered the scene with a bang, what a debut!! This book is anything BUT conventional, just be prepared -it's not always pretty.

Don't you dare feel bad for me. I'm not writing this for you to shed tears. My story goes a whole lot deeper than this and I definitely don't want your pity. I adapted. I embraced, whatever the f*** came or would come. That's what I do.

Ysabelle Telle, aka Ysa, was dealt a pretty crappy hand in life. Born and raised in the poor end of town, she doesn't know who her father is let alone ever even met him and her mother is too busy losing herself in her drugs, booze and men, leaving Ysa alone with no one and nothing. She goes to bed hungry more often than not and learns at a very early age to fend for herself.

Taking care of me came naturally. It was a fight or flight mentality, only the strongest survive, kill or be killed, that type of s***...my mom was a f***** up person, I had to survive. Period.

At the age of sixteen, she takes off to Miami, getting as far away from her mother as she can and starts over. She will do whatever she has to in order to get by. She gets a job, becomes best friends with her boss Devon, gets her own place eventually and does pretty well for herself. But she still feels like something is missing from her life, that is when she meets Madame and is introduced to the world of escorts where Madame runs her very own company and wants to make Ysa one of her VIP's.

These men thought they knew me, nobody really did. They loved what they thought I was, and I was what they wanted me to be.
I was the fantasy. I was the dream, I was an illusion.

She settles in to her VIP life quite easily, making more money than she ever thought possible. For the first time, she's surrounded by people who understand her and want her, she finally feels like she has some control over her life. Til one single client turns her world upside down....

They say that everything happens for a reason. I'll never forget the phone call that changed my life. It all started with that damn phone call. I should have known better. I should have passed. I should have done a lot of things other than meet with him.
I didn't.
I answered the phone.
I accepted the date.
And I changed the course of my life.
I met with Sebastian Vanwell.

Sebastian Vanwell couldn't have had a better childhood. Only child to two very successful and financially stable parents, he has it all. At the age of two, Julia comes into his life.

She was like a boy only she smelled good and had long hair. She was my yin to my yang, the peanut butter to my jelly, the milk to my Oreos, and the hot fudge to my ice cream.

Their parents were best friends before they were born, they grew up together, did everything together, his name was the first word she ever spoke and she was always his Babygirl. Everyone expected them to end up together so it was no surprise when they got married after collage and soon added a son to their family.

Lifelong- lasting or continuing through all or much of one's life. That was what Julia was to me. I knew she would always be in my life. I don't know how or how to even explain it. I just knew it.

Happily married, father to Christian, successful Yacht Broker, the only thing he loves more than his family is being on the water, things couldn't be more perfect....
Til he meets Ysa and begins to question everything.

I needed to get the f*** out of there. I needed to go home to my family. I needed to forget what just happened, why couldn't I move my feet? Why was just the thought of not seeing her again, hurting me so bad? I felt as though I couldn't breathe....

….I knew two things in that moment.
One, I was going to find out who she was
and two, I was eternally f*****.

Neither one of them were prepared for their reaction to each other. For very different reasons, they both want to run in the opposite direction. Sebastian knows he can't be involved with Ysa in any way, he has a family at home. Ysa is terrified of the feeling he invokes in her, personal experience doesn't allow her to let anyone get too close to her, they will only let her down, she's safe behind her walls. But that doesn't mean they can stay away.

I was destined to meet Ysabelle Telle. We were meant to cross paths. For whatever f***** up reason she came into my life, I couldn't let her go.

I didn't do emotions; I didn't know how to handle them. I couldn't deny that it felt riveting. I felt cherished. His strong arms felt comforting and safe. I found myself closing my eyes and breathing him in.
F***...what am I doing?

The more time they spend together, the harder it becomes to stay away. They're drawn to each other like neither has ever experienced before, but it doesn't change what they are. Ysa is an escort who doesn't do feelings and Sebastian has a family at home. None of that seems to stop the pull or kill the connection they share.

She was terrified of the emotions toying between us. She wanted this to stop. She wanted me to f*** her. I wasn't allowing it. I was going to do this, I was going to step over the f****** line and make love to her.

I loved a man who was taken by somebody else, a father and a husband. I had never planned on it, and it was never thought out, being in love with a married man was one of the hardest things I had ever put myself into. I knew he cared for me, he returned each and every affection and feeling, but I still knew he went home to his wife.

From start to finish, this book had me an emotional mess. It takes quite awhile for the two main characters to actually meet, but I think it had to be that way. Their character development is such a huge part of how their story plays out. Didn't stop me from getting a tad impatient though Lol
I have to admit, Sebastian did come across as a bit selfish BUT I absolutely fell in love is Ysa. She did what she had to to survive and didn't let others opinions hold her down. She was who she was-period. I love a strong heroine and was certainly that. This was definitely not a cookie-cutter romance and some parts were hard to get through, but it was worth the trip in the end. My only complaint was the ending. After the emotional beating you take throughout the book, the ending was kind of abrupt for me. I still loved it and am looking forward to much much more from this author.

I didn't want to be like every other man to Ysabelle. I might not have had the right, hell, I knew I didn't have the right, I was about to take her someplace neither of us had any business going. She was ingraining herself into my heart and I wanted to do the same to her.

For a while I just stared at the review screen. I didn't know what to write, in a way I still don't.

This book hit a lot of nerves. There were good parts, bad parts and parts that made me yell "w.t.f. people get it together"; this book was good, the plot took me awhile to understand but once I got it the story for better.
I both loved and disliked this book. In life, really messed up things happen... Things we've no control over, we can't go through life making excuses and being a victim , HELLO, IN THE END LIFE SCREW'S US ALL, JUST DON'T TAKE IT LYING DOWN, and in a way I felt that's all Sebastian and sometimes Ysabelle did. It really pissed me off.

Sebastian was both a strong character and a weak character. His "shortcomings" are what made me like him and want to choke him.

Ysabelle got handed a really messed up life but she did what she thought she had to do to "survive".

In the end, the ending is what redeemed this book for me and made it a 4.5 star read.

One character I adored, even though she's a messed up b¡t¢h was The Madam.... I cannot wait to dive into her book to see what road led her to the life she leads. That woman is amazing.
5.0 out of 5 stars I loved the uniqueness and the boldness of the characters! 27 February 2016

5 cheating stars!

I started this book because I wanted to read something different and the blurb was promising. Oh boy, was I right or what! VIP was simply mind-blowing for the very fact that it treated cheating differently than most books. When most stories don't indulge the reader in the background of a marriage and the story of the people that are married and one of them cheats, this one started with their childhood and every significant year of their lives.

I have to say, well played author! I fell in love with the wife and I hated the other woman, something that I almost never do because fictional cheating is always portrayed in such a way that the reader ends up hating the wife - maybe she is a bitch, or maybe the marriage is an unhappy one, so that the other woman can be justified in her actions and be likable. (Hypocritical? Totally but that is not the issue we're discussing).

The book is almost divided between the two characters, Ysabelle and Sebastian. It starts from a very young age.

Ysabelle's life is a disaster, and I felt for her and the choices that led her to lead the life she did although I didn't agree with the idea of a girl inevitably following her mother's footsteps just because she was raised within that world.

Unlike her mother she became a VIP.

Ysabelle tried to convince me that she was content and that she wanted this life of 'freedom' and all the extras that came with it and she was doing a very good job until the same pattern was repeated. She fell - hard and fast - even though she didn't know why (eye rolling here) for the married guy that was paying for her services. As weird and typical as it sounds, Sebastian's action were in fact justified.

She confused me more than once but again kudos to the author, thanks to her background I couldn't help but feel sympathy for her even if she had her stupid moments.

Sebastian's story started when Julia was born. She was from the start a major key to the story although she was not the only one. Sebastian and Julia were inseparable, they were not like siblings, more like soul-mates that just had to be next to one another.

I was rooting for them. I hate how much I loved this book, I loved the uniqueness and the boldness of the characters, I loved how the story was split between the two, it made me connect to them, more so than any other book. I literally knew these characters since they were children! It didn't drag more than it should, at least to me it didn't seem like it did because I devoured it in hours.

I do have a few issues though such as the spelling mistakes, especially a few at the very first few pages that kind of ruing my 'book mood' but I'm always willing to overlook it if the book is as amazing as this one!

Also, I have a few plot wholes that were left open and I hope the next two books will give me some much needed answers, but as far as VIP goes, I recommend it hands down!
5.0 out of 5 stars Addicting. VIP was all consuming and it's one to stay on your mind for days. Leave your judgements behind and enjoy the journey. 8 December 2014

Wow! M. Robison you sure know how to write a tantalizing story. The way the words consume my thoughts and draw me into the story. This story is going to be fresh in my mind. It's definitely memorable. I love stories that make you think and draw out several emotions in you. I kept an open mind. I knew the right decision would eventually be made. I was pleased with the outcome. The full circle outcome was the perfect closure.
I relish the stories that focus on the damaged people and those that are corrupted. The character build up is quite extensive and very detailed. Although I was impatient I loved how you held out all the control of the story in the beginning. The build up for what was to come was worth the detailed character development. Once the two stories came together I was enchanted.

I love that phrase,"I don't want you to put a label on it". Society puts labels on everything by judging and calling these sexual experiences taboo.

Our pasts mold us into the people we are today and along the way we are faced with choices that will affect our lives for good and bad, but ultimately we never truly understand what effect those choices will have on our future until they are put to the test. It always seems that something tragic in our life is what puts it all into perspective. We go through life making choices not realizing until tragedy strikes that those choices led to this moment.

Ysabelle is quite good at seduction. She has men begging to claim and taste her. Men become possessive of her and yet she can easily walk away. She has the power to bring men to their knees.
There passion is intense and the connection addicting. I find myself consumed by there connection. I lose focus on the reality of the sin committed because this kind of emotional and physical love is unreal.
It maybe an affair but Sebastian always was stuck in an affair even during his childhood. He has cheated himself of what he truly desired for fear of always hurting Julia.
Men are fickle creatures wanting variety and being emotionally unattached only driven by a physical need. Men are selfish and take what they want. Yet women still want them and men are powerless against them. It's a give and take. The key is finding the right fit to your every wants and needs. Only then will you find completion.

***Solid 4.5 Stars***

Ok, this one is filled with some complex characters & heart breaking circumstances surrounding their lives. Ever hear of "Extenuating Circumstances"? Well, this book is chock full of them.

From reading the blurb for this book you can pretty much guess the headlines of what occurs here. But if you pass this one up because of that, you will be missing out on the whole story. The how's & why's of it all. It's a beautiful, heartbreaking, decadent, frustrating, erotically charged & sinful story. I couldn't put it down.

This story has tons of character development for the first half. You get Sebastian & Ysabelle's POV's & an in depth look into their lives before they even meet. So you get a lot of story here. And guess what? BONUS!!! None of it is boring or drags or causes you to want to pull your hair out. (Always a plus)

Once you witness how their lives collide & why they can't just walk away, you begin to question everything that you've ever felt or known to be true concerning these type of events, that are unfortunately, an every day reality for most. I cried, screamed, cursed & had the uncontrollable urge to do this to many of the characters in this book.
*Punches them in the face*

But always in the back of my mind, once I calmed down, I would be wondering How is this going to end? From where they have started, how could they have any place good to go to? Thus leading me back to my mental breakdown...
*GAH!*

But I really love when a story does this to me. If it can evoked such strong emotions within me across the board, then I say the author has definitely done their job.

So why not the 5 stars, you ask? This one needs major editing. Usually I can over look this. But I came across so many spelling & grammar errors while reading, that it became a tedious task to always have to re-read a sentence to make sure I read it & understood it correctly. Then there were other times that I had to mentally add a missing word in a sentence to complete a characters' thoughts/or statement. So naturally this would take me out of the flow of the story a lot. And I didn't like that.

But this one is a story that you should not pass up. I love how it was executed. What was brought to the table & how things came to a close concerning these characters & their lives.

It certainly takes you away from your comfort zone, but that doesn't make the journey or lessons learned here, any less worthwhile.

I would HIGHLY recommend this read.
