From USA Today Bestselling Author M. Robinson

Ysabelle

They say in order to find yourself you have to go home, but what if home is what you’re escaping from. I went to Miami to discover myself; never in my wildest dreams, did I think home would become a three-letter word.
VIP.
I was the dream.
I was the illusion.
I was the fantasy.
Until him…
Everything went to hell in hand basket the moment we laid eyes on each other.
I wanted him.
He wanted me.

Sebastian

I have always been a man who made decisions based on other people’s feelings, wants, and desires.
I was selfless.
I never wanted to hurt anyone.
Especially her.
The moment I met her… I wanted her.
I loved her.
For the woman she was.
For the woman she wanted to be.
But most of all…
For the woman she was, when she was with me.

This isn’t a love story, but a story about love.

Warning sex/drugs/language. Mature readers only.

OMG !! Where Oh Where to start: I only recently discovered this Amazingly Talented Author in September this year when I read Complicate Me, which I thoroughly and absolutely loved..BUT somehow I failed to realise that there were other earlier masterpieces, YES, masterpieces in VIP and the VIP Series as well as Tempting BAD: VIP Spin Off. Last week whilst on holidays I read ALL the VIP Books over a 3 day period and can not believe how M Robinson's works are not given greater exposure. I seriously loved ALL the main characters, Ysabelle, Sebastian, Madam etc, and was impressed with the complexities of the journey faced by each of them throughout all of the VIP Books. I do not like to reveal spoilers when giving a review other than to say that I have read over 300 Books this year and M Robinson is definitely in my Top 10 list of Exceptional Talented Authors and would recommend ANY & ALL of her books. This book will leave you wanting more !

The beginning: A point in time or space where something starts.
32-year-old Sebastian Vanwell, a very successful yacht broker, always loved the design and architecture of a luxurious yacht. His only addiction was being on the water. He loved it, he thrived on it, and he needed it in his life.

After a very stable, loving childhood with a few bumps, Sebastian married the love of his life: the one person who he knew would always be there. Julia was his rock, and he loved her more than life itself. Sebastian kept his addiction to the water under control, wanting to keep his time with his wife and son his number one obsession. That was, until he saw her.

Ysabelle Telle hit him hard, knocking the wind from his lungs. This new addiction haunted him, the one compulsion that he couldn't control no matter how hard he tried. Coming from worlds apart beautiful, dark, complected Ysabelle didn't have the rich, protected background that Sebastian had. She had lived a life of hell, growing up in poverty and horrific living conditions with a drug-addict mother who never cared. Ysabelle now lived for one person, and one person only: herself. She was pure perfection. Her beauty, along with a flawless body, had men lined up and driveling over her- ensuring her success as a VIP.

There are many words that describe the effects when two diverse worlds like theirs collide. They both have too much to lose to get caught in the forceful pull, which could destroy them both.
Warning sex/drugs/language. Mature readers only.

I truly enjoyed this book. It kept me so engaged. I was so drawn to all of the characters. M. Robinson know how to draw you in and keep you there. Her writing of the love scenes was phenomenal. I recommend this book to anyone who loves to read love stories that include affairs.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best I've ever read... 14 December 2013
By Kindle Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
Have you ever read a book that left you with your mouth hanging open when you read the last word? Have you ever sat there and just thought about everything that you just read and felt...fulfilled?

This may have be the hardest review I've had to write so far because all I want to really say is read it, so you can experience what I'm feeling right now, but here it goes.

I've never read any other book like this one. Up until exactly halfway through, it was as if I was reading two separate books. Ysabelle has her own story and Sebastian has his. I spent the first half of the book just wondering how hell these two were ever going to meet one another, their lives were total opposites.

Ysabelle had a horrible childhood, if you'd even call it that. Her "mother" was literally a crack whore (excuse the term but there really isn't any other way to say it) who sold her daughter's virginity for $1000, Ysabelle was only 12. She never had food, clean clothes on her back, or a safe place to call home. She had to barricade her bedroom door closed at night so her "mothers" "John's" wouldn't get in. She was 16 when she decided that she had to leave. She had sex with a guy for $100 and left town. She started working at a bar and that's where she met Madame and became a VIP, an escort.

Sebastian and Julie are best friends. They grew up with one another. Olivia is Julie's adopted sister. The three of them were inseparable their whole lives. While Julie always had more than friendly feelings for Sebastian, his eyes were always on Olivia. One night changed everything for the three and that's when Sebastian's life really started to change.

A quick note - this book is full of sex. I mean, Ysabelle is an escort so it's obvious that there will be sex. If you're not into reading about graphic sex in books, I BEG you to please look past it in this one. There is SO much more to Ysabelle and Sebastian's story than sex.

As I sit here writing this review, I'm still in awe of this book. I literally had to get out of bed in order to write this so I could get it all down and do the book justice.

To say that this book is amazing is an understatement. I honestly can't think of another book that left me feeling the way that this one has. It was one hell of an emotional roller coaster and I am jealous of those who haven't read this one yet - I'd give anything to read it all over again for the first time.

M. Robinson did something amazing with this one. The world that she created was one that I won't forget any time soon.

***Note - I glanced at some of the reviews before typing this and I'll tell you - there weren't any noticeable editing mistakes in my copy. M. Robinson has stated on her Facebook page that she has a new, updated version to fix any errors. PLEASE, do not let the "bad editing" reviews keep you from this one***

2.0 out of 5 stars NO 14 February 2014
By Midian S. - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
With this review I do not intend to be mean, but I must write it because I feel like a lot of people are just not being forthcoming.

First of, the blurb of the book is VERY misleading, specially because the book doesn't even mention Ysabelle for like, the first 50%.

I felt like this book was more about Sebastian and Olivia + Julia, and I didn't like this AT ALL. This triangle just didn't make sense to me, I feel like Sebastian defaulted to Julia, and after the 50% mark I just told you about, I feel like he defaulted AGAIN to Ysabelle.

At this point I was frankly annoyed.

I did not feel the connection between Sebastian (Sebby *eye roll*) and Ysabelle, and don't get me wrong, this book has a lot of potential but went downhill.

Some parts of the book didn't make sense, which is a shame, because this author is very good at writing, but I feel like a little more effort from the editor, or maybe the beta readers, would've been good, maybe the author needs a content editor.

Another thing, I received an ARC of this book, but I went ahead and bought the book from Amazon because the ARC had a lot of grammar and spelling issues, but it backfired on me because the copy on Amazon is the same.

I'm afraid if the author, or her fans, read this review, they won't like it, or my rating, but I can't lie, I rather be honest and disliked.

Again, the author writes very good but this book needed more polishing.

4.0 out of 5 stars Yes...Please Madam may I have another? 21 December 2013
By Page Turning Book Junkie (Book Blog) - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
Man oh man...this was an amazing story filled with love, lust, intense heart break, and betrayal. I knew from the very first chapter that this was not your run of the mill hearts and flowers romance. I loved how the book was set up. In most books, the characters start in the present and we get thrown into flashbacks of memeories to show us how they became the way they are. This book starts from the early childhood of both characters, which really makes you connect with them and gives you a front row seat to each of their journeys. Ms. Robinson did a fantastic job with character building and I really felt a bond with Ysabelle and Sebastian. I had twisted love/hate emotions for Sebastian...one minute I thought he was a selfish bastard and the next minute I was rooting for him like a frantic cheerleader. I absolutely loved Ysabelle for so many reasons. She was unlike any other typical whiny weak female character that pines for pity. She was a no-holds-bar relentless bitch that took all the s*** parts of her life and used them to push her to conquer no matter what. She stayed tough the only way she knew how, which was to keep emotions and people out, even though you can clearly see, deep down she was a truely broken girl.

Sebastian had a nice clean cut upbringing and loved his best friend Julia since the day she was born...literally, he was two years old and was there in the hospital to share their first kiss the day she was born. His neat life suddenly became a jumbled mess at the ripe ol' age of ten, when he met Julia's adopted sister Olivia for the first time. He knew even then, that his life would never be the same. They had an instant connection that differed immensely from the connection he shared with Julia. To prevent hurt feelings or favoritism, Sebastian and Olivia kept their feelings a secret all throughout their childhood and into their teenage years. He loved both girls, just in different ways. He couldn't figure out a way to be with Olivia and not hurt Julia, so he was stuck...either way someone would get hurt. Sebastian and Olivia wanted to be together so much, to the point that it was painful. Olivia couldn't handle the pain anymore and tragedy struck in the most devastating way. This left Sebastian an empty shell of a man that struggled with his anger and guilt. Julia was there to pick up the pieces, and through their shared tragedy, they consoled each other. They became a couple, then got married, and had a baby boy. Everything seemed to be perfect in paradise, until one night that would change his life forever.

Ysabelle was dealt a really crappy hand in life. Growing up poor is one thing, but she had a s***ty mom who didn't care about her at all. She was mearily a food stamp ticket for her mother to use for her drugs. Ysabelle's mother was a prostitute that sold her body for drugs and money. She was truely alone in ther world in every sense of the word. She hid from her home because she was unsafe and then went to school, just to be teased and tormented even further. She learned from a very early age to depend on no one but herself. She used what she knew to survive, until she turned sixteen and left her crappy mother and life behind. She moved to Miami with a back pack and $100.00 that she earned by graciously taking a guy's virginity from him. Lady Luck decided to throw her a bone that day. That bone was named Devon. He offered her a job in his bar and a place to stay, no questions asked. He was her savior and life line, until she met Madam. Madam swooped into her life and provided her with a life she never thought she would have...she became a VIP. She thought she was happy and fulfilled with her life on top, until one chance meeting and a life altering phone call.

Sebastian and Ysabelle's relationship or affair if you would will, was a whirlwind of confusion, lust, and eventually love. It might have began with Sebastian being consumed with the uncanny likeness Ysabelle had to Olivia, but it quickly changed into an intense magnetic pull that couldn't be denied. The first few meetings started off innocently enough, in terms of the escort business I guess. I never thought I would say this, but it was so sweet when Ysabelle didn't tell her Madam there were some added services during one of their "dates". It wasn't like she was giving him a freebie or anything...it was a subconciense way of her saying he was different from the others. This was all new territory for both of them, because he was married and she didn't do emotions. The develpment of their relationship was flawlessly done. I was enthralled and couldn't stop reading. Their relationship was a mess that was destined to end with messy broken hearts. Could he ever finally be with the woman he felt he was meant to be with? Or will the broken pieces left from the destruction be unmendable?

I adored this story from it's beautiful destructivness, down to the emotionally charged connection of these unbelievable characters. The ending was a bit of a dirty tease *insert unladylike grunt*. I sure hope there will be another book or at least a novella to finish up the story. I was torn when it came down to rating this book because I truly loved this book in it's entirety. The only thing that prevented me from giving it the five stars I deeply wanted to give it, was the fustrating grammatical errors. I agree with the other reviews in this aspect. I am not generally that strict when it comes to occasional errors in grammar, but I had to reread so many parts because they didn't make any sense. I wish I could have been a beta reader for this one, because a good meticulous editing would've really thrust this book from being really good to being incredibly GREAT! Despite my intense furstration with this fact, I was thoroughly satisfied with this story. It was a refreshing, twisted, scorching hot journey to true love!

1.0 out of 5 stars Thoroughly un-relatable characters. 23 October 2014
By Vee - Published on Amazon.com
Thoroughly un-relatable characters. The wife who settles for being second best. The selfish husband who disrespects his wife and apparently cares nothing about his son. The hard luck hooker with a heart of gold who apparently needs to destroy a family before having the guts to move away from the life. Alexandre Dumas, fils had the skill to make a selfish hero and a tragic hooker sympathetic. This author clearly does not.

I couldn't care less about them, so even for free thanks but no thanks.
