The 19-track collection spans 1974 and 1982 and features many of group s best-loved songs, like Can t Get Enough, Feel Like Makin Love and Rock N Roll Fantasy.
Longtime fans will certainly appreciate the inclusion of previously unreleased alternate versions of Easy On My Soul and See The Sunlight. Both of these are different versions than the ones that appeared on the deluxe editions Bad Company and Straight Shooter.
Singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Paul Rodgers along with guitarist/songwriter Mick Ralphs, bassist Boz Burrell and drummer Simon Kirke recorded Bad Company s eponymous debut in 1973. When it was released in 1974, the album was an instant smash and climbed to the top of the album charts. Since then, it has been certified five-times platinum. It features such instantly recognizable tracks as Movin On and Ready For Love, which are included on this new collection

Paul Rodgers and Simon Kirke: lead vocalist and drummer - respectively, from the ashes of Free; Guitarist Mick Ralph's from superior glam rockers - Mott the hoople; and bass guitarist Boz Burrell - post psychedellic/prog rockers - King Crimson - what more could you possibly ask for!
Included on this collection are their three UK hit singles; Cant get enough,Good loving gone bad and the anthemic, powerful and live crowd pleaser: Feel like making love, being my all time favourite Bad co' song.
But Bad company where so much more than these chart hits:
Their style of rock/soul & blues are evident on 'Rock 'n' roll fantasy - this title track being a prime example.other standout tracks are; the eponymous Bad company,The story telling of the rise and fall of a rock star (with powerful and poignant lyrics),shooting star and weep no more.simple man and Burnin' sky,are bland by comparison.
Paul Rodgers is one of the finest singers this country has ever produced and has never been given the recognition he duly deserves (even as lead vocalist of Queen, for a while).along with the rest of the band, they produced some outstanding, heavy leaning (sic) rock songs.
Culled from their output of albums eg: Straight shooter,Rough diamonds etc.
Rock 'n' roll fantasy - the best of Bad company, represents just that, and is a very good introduction to said rock band.
Package comes complete with: extensive and informative sleeve notes by music writer - David Palmer and colour and black and white photos of band with credits - both excellent inclusions.
Excellent re-mastered sound for this release.
To sum up: very good career overview of Bad company's output during their glory years.
An essential, but not quite indespensible collection - enjoy !
I got this CD to add to STRAIGHT SHOOTER, a classic album of theirs that I have been listening to for years.
It gives me a taste of the tracks off the other albums they made which I never got around to buying.
