Product Description

Coming home is hard for Lane. Hard because her beloved uncle Harry has died suddenly, but also because of him. Kale.

Kale Hunt has been her best friend since childhood. But it was never that simple. He was Lane’s reason for leaving home and moving to New York. Seeing him with someone else, in love with someone else, shouldn’t have hurt. But it did. It really, really did. So she upped sticks and left, started a new life and cut herself off from her past.

But now she’s back and all the feelings are right there. As if she had never left.

Emotions are running high, and tragedy has a funny way of bringing people together. But is Lane reading the signs right? Are they still just friends, or is there something more?

A completely different book from L.A. Casey that I absolutely loved. Its so different and refreshing from her other books. So much heartache and loss for one person to deal with but surrounded by so much love and happiness. Wish I could give more stars.

Wow! I'm trying to gather my thoughts after just finishing Until Harry to write a comprehensive review. Ok, here goes!
L A Casey has written a moving, second chance narrative that is essentially about hope, despite hopelessness. This is Lane and Kale's story and rather than being only a build-up to a steamy romance, it's much more of a deep, character-based journey.
All the essentials are there - excellent writing, plot, character development, imagery, pace, etc. It's told through Lane's POV.
Lane Edwards loved her brotherly friend and protector, Kale since she was a young child. However, as they grow older, it seems her love is unrequited. Later, there are circumstances that hit Laney like a sledgehammer. Devastated, she relocates from York England to New York US to 'move on', but she never can. Her spirit for life is lost! When her beloved and constant supporter, Uncle Harry dies, Lane returns home to say her goodbyes, and so the motions are set for facing the present and the past.
Laney's situation reminds me of a quote from John Banville that I always thought was touching, "The past beats inside me like a second heart.”
Until Harry seamlessly moves through time and readers are exposed to Lane and Kale's story through a gradual unpacking of information. So gradual, the resolution really isn't clear until the conclusion.
Throughout, I felt the rollercoaster ride of emotions as everything was peeled back and the smattering of Casey's signature Northern English humour made for sweet, warm and light moments. As usual family relationships feature strongly in Casey's publication and while the Edwards' relationships are rocky, there's still deep love and loyalty.

I wasn't sure what to expect from this book as it seemed different to the others that L.A Casey had written but being one of my favourite authors I would not question reading her work and as i suspected she did not disappoint.

The only thing i wish I had done was not read this in public. I may have been tired or emotional but I cried a lot in this book, I'm not sure if it was because I found this personal to myself but I was a wreck reading it (in the best way possible). On a flight for 24hrs i was tired and was scared I wouldn't take in everything I was reading. All my fears were answered in the first chapter.

Loved this book from start to finish, I loved how different this book was to L.A Casey's books.

The best friends to lover book with all the the in between of what happened and why they never got together kept my interest in every word the author wrote.

The characters were portrayed amazingly and the love for both of them from me were so strong.

The bond between Lane and her Uncle Harry was so awesome I loved this aspect of the book.

Until Harry was better than a 5 star read and would recommend reading this book and any other L.A Casey books she is an awesome author.

L.A Casey had done it again! A totally different style of book but a winner just the same!
Lane and Kale are best friends and always have been until the relationship changes.
This story really takes you on a roller coaster of emotions, one minute you are laughing out loud, really chuckling, the next you feel fear and anger then you feel your heart aching.
The characters are described so well that you feel you know them and for the most part they are quite complex.
I totally recommend this book to everyone.

Words can't describe how amazing this book is. I cried, laughed and felt exactly how the characters felt. This is the first one of l.a. Casey's books and definitely isn't the last.

This novel has the most beautiful storyline and I loved how the author did the novel back to past and present . I am not usually a fan when authors do that but I absolutely loved it in this book . I loved kade so much , how much he was hurting and how much everyone was hurting . I also loved Lane with how supportive her parents were of her and her family when she came back home .
There are lots of ups and downs in this book , twists and turns that you will soon learn.
This was such a beautiful novel and it made me cry and have so many different types of emotions that you will witness that the author brought out in this book . I loved everything about it . It was perfect .

If you haven't read this book yet , then I suggest you read this book because it's such a beautiful story and I guarantee this will be a book that I would read again .

Second chance stories are one of my favs even it results from mixed signals or misunderstandings. This is the tale of the crush on your brothers friend, who also becomes yours. To you it's more than crush its turns to love but does he feel the same way? Then there's the age difference & his endless girlfriends.

Something happens & you run away from everything incl your family. You find your way back when your Uncle Harry dies. But do you?

This is the story of Lane & Hale.

I even shed a tear or two. I found this a very moving story.

If you would like a bit more humour I suggest you read Frozen also by this author.
