Their sizzling hot Singapore fling!
Businesswoman Madeline Delacourte has no time and no need for a man in her life; after all, her late husband left her independently wealthy. But then she meets Luke Bennett. With his hard body and even harder attitude to life he poses a challenge, and awakens a hunger she didn’t know she had…
Luke is only visiting Singapore for a week, and Madeline knows she’s playing with fire. He is as roguish as he is seductive, and if she unleashes this bad boy’s passion she’d better learn how to tame it – otherwise it’s her who’ll end up getting burnt…

About the Author
Kelly Hunter has always had a weakness for fairytales, fantasy worlds, and losing herself in a good book. She is married with two children, avoids cooking and cleaning, and despite the best efforts of her family, is no sports fan! Kelly is however, a keen gardener and has a fondness for roses. Kelly was born in Australia and has travelled extensively. Although she enjoys living and working in different parts of the world, she still calls Australia home.

About the author

I started writing in 2007, with a Harlequin/Mills and Boon story called Wife For A Week. I liked it, readers liked it, and it's still my mother's favorite. With each new book I try to get my mother to change her mind. Awards? I have them (for other books). USA Today Bestseller status? I have that too (for other books). Romance Writers of America® RITA® Finalist? Yep (with other books).
At this point I'm pretty sure my mother is happily messing with *my* mind, but I promise you this--with every book I write I try to make it her new favorite story. Quality control!

This could so easily be your average Harlequin romance with an alpha male pushing the reluctant but attracted heroine into multiple sexy positions that lead to him realizing he wants to marry her when she finally has enough of his lack of commitment.
Instead it's so much better. The writing style and dialogue are incredibly good, especially the flirtatious banter. Madeline does not jump right into bed with Luke, despite his extreme sexiness and his blatant interest. But she flirts like nobody's business, because Madeline is not your average Harlequin heroine. At first Luke things she is - she has the looks of an angel, she sponsors street kids and tries to get them better ways of living, and she's as innocent looking as she is sexy. Then he finds out that she married an older man she didn't love, a wealthy CEO. Let the judging begin!
Except that his brother, Jacob, is Madeline's friend and he tells Luke to stop being a jerk and judging her without knowing her. Then Madeline backs that up when Luke says something snippy to her. Another un-Harlequiny plot twist? Madeline's the power CEO with all the money now, something that Luke has to struggle with since he's well-off but not THAT well-off. I love that Madeline has intelligence, honor, a heart and a formerly-struggling company that she's made into a success with nothing but her own grit and business acumen. Let's hear it for independent and strong heroines!
They've both got some emotional hang ups of course. Luke's got a dangerous job and he's a bit of a commitment-phobe. Even if Madeline can handle the fact that he's not a good bet for a stable relationship, she's not sure she can deal with the danger of his job - even though he's saving lives and is basically a military hero. And who can blame her for wanting someone who's going to stay with her, considering how many people she's loved and lost over the years? So there's plenty of conflict, plenty of tension, and plenty of sexy heat.
Oh, and Yun, Madeline's housekeeper, is a treasure. Both for Madeline and for the reader.
