Dans cet ouvrage on peut lire ce qui arrive si on va à leur encontre dans le non-respect et l'ignorance. Avec toute la compassion pour l'auteure, si elle avait fait pareil avec du paracétamol, elle serait morte depuis longtemps...
If you sell or use essential oils, PLEASE read this book. It affirmed so many frustrations I have with the top companies, the reps who sell their oils (I come from a family of them!), and it debunked many of the common marketing myths that have led to devastating essential oil injuries.
It starts with a story from Stacey, who sold for an MLM, and now suffers from a debilitating EO injury. She was told by her upline that she should "just keep using the oils" and that what she was experiencing was just a "detox reaction." She finally found some relief after seeking medical assistance and discontinuing the use of ALL oils, but to this day she is so sensitized that she has to be cautious about what products she uses and what she's around in public. She breaks out if she even steps into a room with a diffuser.
Has someone who was trying to sell you EO's ever told you it's safe to apply them undiluted to your skin? Or maybe you've seen the oily moms on Instagram putting drops of citrus oil in their water bottles. These are an example of highly unsafe practices addressed in the book. It's no wonder reports of adverse reactions to EOs have skyrocketed since the MLM model for selling oils was introduced 20 years ago. Therapy protocols like "raindrop" and "aromatouch" use highly volatile "hot" oils applied topically in large quantities, UNDILUTED. They are a recipe for disaster.
This book is not anti-essential oils - it was co-written by an aromatherapist! The authors love EO's, and want everyone to use them for a lifetime, but they want to arm people with the proper respect and education.
"This book should be required reading in all aromatherapy schools and product sale classes before anyone recommends essential oils." - Sylla Sheppard-Hanger, founder and director of the Atlantic School of Aromatherapy
