UNREQUITED is the first book that I have read by Julia Wolf. Now I am asking myself, WHY??? Her writing was flawless, flowed beautifully, and her story was simply unputdownable. Her characters were all relateable, they were sassy, loving, gorgeous, handsome, realistic and just a fun loving group of people. In this series Julia introduces her readers to the members of the rock band Unrequited
Maeve O'Day is working as a waitress in a local bar, but she dreams of doing so much more. Maeve wants to be a drummer in a rock band. She is a Southern born belle with delicious curves, especially in the eyes of Santiago "Santi" Garza, bassist for "Unrequited". Years earlier he had broken her heart, but does he want to repair it? Will she allow him to repair it? If the answers to both are yes, then Santi must rebuild Maeve's trust in him. Their friendship starts over and from that point on there is a slow burn romance that is sweet, fun and loving. Maeve is such a strong woman, but also very vulnerable, Santi sees this in her and encourages her dreams. Once they are open and honest with each other, their relationship becomes music in its purest form.
As well as Maeve and Santi, Julia has gathered together a wonderful ensemble of characters, who I'm sure we'll all get to know and love even more in her future books. I'm really looking forward to Mo's and Murray's stories, especially where Yael is concerned.
A brilliant beginning ... I can't wait for more.
