About the Author

My name is Aimee, and I wrote this 300+ page cookbook over the course of 3 years; it is my love letter to the Legend of Zelda series. Along the way, 1511 Zelda fans from around the world joined the quest to help me publish independently. Thanks to this enthusiastic community, the Hyrulian cookbook of my dreams is now reality. I hope it can inspire you to have your own culinary adventure! Right off the bat, to address another review, this IS a self published (and not officially affiliated) cookbook. I'm in fact one of the people who originally backed it on kickstarter. That DOESN'T mean it isn't made with love, dedication and care. This isn't some cheap cash grab like so many other not affiliated/unofficial/self published books.

Yes, it doesn't have pictures (and if the creator ever considers it, I would LOVE to see a version with pictures), but I like to this makes it more in line with LoZ world, i.e. a rustic style cookbook made by hand.

Came on time and in perfect condition. Has good quality paper in it and every recipe is easy to read. It includes recipes from the start of Legend of Zelda all the way up to Breath of the Wild. It has dietary restrictions and substitutions in it so everyone can try the recipes. It even has recipes that can help you cook recipes in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. This is the ultimate Legend of Zelda Cookbook.

The book came in fantastic condition and delivery very quickly. I was so excited that I could choose what to make first. As a Zelda fan, there was so many foods, desserts and drinks that I am dying to try.

My mum, not a gamer, felt like soup sounded good and we settled for Elixer Soup, made by Link's Grandmother. (Pictured).

It was really delicious!! My mum even wanted seconds but unfortunately we only had enough for two (2). 🤣😂 Was quite filling and satisfying. Now I'm confident I can double that to have seconds!! Thank you Grandma and Aimee for this recipe.

I can't wait to make more food. Tomorrow, I'm going to make a Noble Pursuits. Would today but we have no ice so tomorrow it is. Will update this review with a picture when I do!! 😍😍

Update: As promised, I have just made the famous Gerudo drink, Noble Pursuit. Had to improvise as I didn't have the white rum, so used cinnamon Jack Daniels. No umbrellas or straws and my cherry sank to the bottom, I think it was meant to be on the rum of my glass to be fair, lol, but man did that not take a way the absolute taste in this amazing drink!! The Gerudo have amazing taste that's for sure.

Again, it was both myself and my mother and she drank down the full thing before I even poured myself one (1). Got plenty more for later on and she has become a big fan of the recipes in this book so far.

Great job to everyone who worked on this, you have gained two (2) more fans of this book, a Zelda fan and her non-gamer mother!!

I've made probably about 10 dishes beyond the ones in the pic. And they've been delicious. A majority of the recipes are ingredients that aren't too crazy to find, the instructions make sense, almost every recipe has a vegan/veggie option but that doesn't take away from the "traditional" way to prep the meal.

Only critique, ADD SALT! Check your recipe and decide if you'd like to add salt. It's not always mentioned and is at times very necessary. Still a fantastic find.
