it was amazing
Read 2 times
This was my third read from this amazing author and she blew me away.. This is a continuation to her first two books but could be read as a stand alone..
The subject matter was written with so much compassion and understanding for both male and female characters and l am not ashamed to say had me in tears during this read... The heartache and vulnerability was so easily felt and l easily connected to both characters and at times just wanting to wrap both of them in my arms to make them feel whole...
We pick up this story, meeting and walking thru the lives of Wesley and Anna. Anna being the ex girlfriend of Charlie from Unconventional.. With just a tease from the other book, we find out so much more about Anna and you cant help but want to hold her and comfort her for choices made when she was a teenager.. Wesley just gets into your heart from the very first mention of him, well it was like that for me..
As this book takes us thru not just children to adolescent but also a decade after that you get a real sense of watching them develop and grow, thru good and bad choices and the general unfairness of life for some.... And provided some refreshing twists in the storyline as well.. This book had everything for me- slow burn, vulnerability, angst and a lovely mix of humor... With a few added quirky inclusions of books and authors l absolutely loved these adds.
But this author has given us a very real and emotional situation and handled it with understanding and empathy..The characters were so easily relatable and you instantly took them into your heart... As the story progresses, you easily get more invested to the point, that you want to know the outcome but don't want the story to end... Definitely one of my top reads for this year, and if you are not familiar with this author l would say take a chance and read because you will not be disappointed....
Unforgivable was not what I expected it to be. The raw emotion of the book had me rivited to the pages and engrossed in the words. This is a story of mistakes and perhaps wrong decisions, hope and forgiveness, Love and understanding. It’s about standing by the decision you have made and dealing with the consequences. It is also about that once in a lifetime love that makes everything worth it in the end. Anna and Wesley’s story is exactly that.
Isabel Love has a creative mind and when you read her words you can feel the conviction behind them. The emotional journey you are taken on in Unforgivable will leave you breathless, and seeing how Wes and Anna deal with their situations will at times leave you heartbroken but positive that they will survive the mistakes and wrong decisions they have made. This is a book showcasing the struggles some teenagers face in their young lives, but also shows us the determination to turn the bad decisions around and achieve the goals that they set for themselves and for not giving up on the future they so desperately want.
If you have read Isabel’s first two books then this is one you will definitely need to follow on with. If you are new to Isabel then jump in because you will be blown away by this authors talent. Congratulations on another 5 Angel Star Read.

The pace was great, the development on the characters from children, to teens and then adults was spot on.
Wes, he was swoon worthy in every possible way.
Anna, even in her dark times I'd say she was strong.
They both complimented each other perfectly.
I cried huge tears of sadness and joy reading this book. I love how this book is so gritty and true to life. It was so good I couldn't put it down. Highly recommended
"Sometimes, I hate that he's my brother's best friend. I want him all to myself." ~Anna
OH THE FEELS! They started right in the Prologue and just kept on going right through to the Epilogue! That Prologue delivered a serious punch to my gut and I just HAD to see the whole thing through. I love a good friends-to-lovers (and brother's best friend) romance. The connection that Wes and Anna share was stronger than her high school sweetheart and her brother warning off Wes. It's stronger than the mistakes that they made to get them to where they were. It was strong enough to withstand learning the secrets that had each kept buried for a decade.
This story is sweet, hot, intense, heart breaking, spirit uplifting and at times quite funny. Isabel Love has told a story with some controversial topics in a way that shows love and compassion along with the anger and anguish that goes along with them. I will have to say that this is my favorite of her books! I felt very real connection to the characters in this book from all sides, not just Wes and Anna. I think that everyone should read this book! But be warned.... you will probably fall in love with Wes. ( I know I have!!)
