A great read if you are a fan of this series.

I read the Trebizon series of books as a child but never realised the last 2 books existed! I recently re-read the series and discovered what I had missed. This final book seems to have been a rare print so obtaining a paperback version was too costly. I was delighted to see I could get it on Kindle for a very reasonable price. This was the first time I have purchased an e-book and I was impressed with how easy it was. I could begin reading in seconds! As far as content of the story goes, one character's actions really made me cross and I was annoyed at how easily they were forgiven - but apart from this it was a gripping and very enjoyable read and left me feeling sad that this was the last book in the series.

Excellent characters and stories.

If you like the Malory Towers series you should like these. I have enjoyed reading the whole series, the characters are well rounded and it is more up-to-date than the Enid Blyton stories. (The later ones involve boys!) I would have liked to know how Rebecca and her friends got on in the Sixth Form but there is still plenty to enjoy in the series.

Great school story

It's a good read, though the ending seems to suggest more books were planned. Which sadly never happened, nothing about the 6th form. Like all the series, it's pretty short/light. I read some of the books as a teenager but never knew this one existed. The school setting in summer weather is nice. The plot is quite exciting and seems believable enough really. A threat arises to the local landscape with a battle to save it. Anyone of any age can relate to the tension about Rebecca's GCSEs. So worth it then.
