This is my second fav out of the 3 so far. Mark and Dawn have a history that was built up through the first two books and this one seemed to start more in the middle. The twists that came from this book were different to the others but the second was obvious but still a good read as it didn’t seem as rushed like Regan and Tyler’s one

I was so nervous going into this book. I was obsessed with the first one but the last one just missed the mark for me. And I know if i like it the chances are I will end up ugly crying while my husband looks at me like I'm crazy for a second before he wanders off to get me a cup of tea or glass of wine before hiding so I can't try to explain the whole story to him.
But it's Kendall Ryan so I had to read it and I am so glad I did. From the first page I was so involved in the story. Mark and Dawn were so gorgeous together and both were in so deep but both were looking for the right moment to have "The Chat". But of course life happened and that became the least of their problems, while leaving them both unsure exactly where they were standing with the other.
So much happened in such a short period of time to throw them both on their heads. And for a while I thought Dawn was going to be monumentally stupid. But Mark was so strong and understanding and made me feel guilty for thinking badly of (and wanting to slap) Dawn.
Catching up with the crew is always great. And I am really excited for Seth's story and his mystery lady. And seeing who's going to be the next one to add to the sexy, tattooed men holding babies club.

This is the third book in the Unexpected Arrivals series you Kaylee Ryan and I just adore this group of friends become family. They are solid, supportive and selfless. The guys are all drool worthy and super swoony when it comes to their women & kids. And the ladies...they’re sweet, welcoming and exactly what their men need.
Mark and Dawn were bound to happen. We knew it was a thing right?! Wrong! At some points in this books I just wanted to slap either of them or both of them for hiding their feelings (verbally) and questioning the others. My gosh! Showing each other in every way possible that they love each other but avoiding the words due to circumstance...silly.
There was so many emotional blows to the characters throughout this story, especially his Pixie, Dawn, the poor girl. How can one person endure so much and come out on the other side as unscathed as humanly possible? With the strength and support of your crew, your man and your unexpected arrival, that’s how. These people rally and it is beautiful to read.
I’m certainly waiting for the next one in this series, in the meantime you’ll find me reading all of Kaylee’s other work!

Unexpected Fall is the third book in the Unexpected Arrivals series and the guys and gals of this series make it so easy to fall in love with them. Mark and Dawn’s story is full of tragedy and heartache and will at times overwhelm you with emotions. Two people who are falling hard but just can’t find the right moment to say the words start to feel like that perfect moment is slipping away. As devastation hits Dawn more than once it will take a strong heart and an even stronger love to ensure these two don’t fall apart. Tears will be shed, hearts will be stolen and the sweetness and passion that these guys have shown us from the start of this series shines like the dawn of a new day. A beautiful love story of strength, family and forevers.

This was an okay book. I loved the first book in this series, it’s one of my favourites, but I wish these books were true standalones.
Yes, we know Dawn and Mark have a history, but we don’t see that. We don’t even see the start of their relationship. I wanted that, if, for nothing else, than a connection to the title. From what we’re shown, this isn’t an unexpected fall for Mark, it’s a gradual one that’s developed over years. I think that’s what also bothers me, is that this relationship takes years to get to the point where we pick it up. What the heck was happening all that time? It’s been made to seem in other books that this was a forgone conclusion. Apparently it wasn’t. Even if more than half the book is them going on about how scared they are to tell each other their feelings.
That being said, I did like the twists and turns this book takes, even if at one point I hated Dawn.
But I can’t get over the chosen starting point for this book. It’s a solid book but a little disappointing.

Unexpected Fall is nook 3 in the Unexpected Arrival Series which tells the story of Mark and Dawn, and what a story it is. Mark and Dawn are seeing each other unofficially and before they can take their relationship further, hurdles are placed in the way which would make any other relationship crack under the strain but not Mark and Dawn.
Mark is quite possibly one of the best characters I have ever read about. He is sweet, smart, loving, sexy and kind. At times, he can be pushy but not in a domineering way. The way he loves Dawn is so all consuming and passionate that you definitely need to look for your own Mark! In the face of trouble, challenges and decisions he is the type of guy you want in your corner (to be honest, all of the guys in the Unexpected Arrival series are pretty amazing!) This is in comparison to Dawn who is strong, sweet, introverted and barely clinging on due to tragedies and issues that seem to be cropping up in her life. She has doubts when she shouldn’t have them, but she has such amazing strength of character that you are rooting for her all of the way when it comes to her and Mark.
This is an amazing book and it literally has moments that made me shed a few tears (and that’s quite hard to do). It flows and weaves a remarkable story between two strong characters who not only have an amazing relationship between themselves, but also the friends that they call family. I haven’t read the previous two books in this series, but if it is anything like this one, I will be going back and giving them a try. A beautiful story that I can’t recommend enough. If you like some angst with your HEA with beautifully written characters, then this one is for you.

I am about 1/3 through the book and I hate it. All the great reviews are terribly misleading. There is zero chemistry. Just starts with a couple who are already in a relationship and she is stupidly angsting that he doesn’t love her yet it is obvious he does. And she just as stupidly doesn’t talk to him about. Just can’t stand all of the stupid. Maybe there is back story in the previous books that helps, but as a stand alone, this book just doesn’t work. Way too much of the story spent hanging out with couples from previous stories and, if you haven’t read the previous stories, there is no connection to them so it is terribly boring reading about them.

I love this family!

I didn't know how much I would love Dawn & Mark's story, but it turned out to be A LOT!! Other than a SOB (seemingly obligatory breakup) which annoyed me - but they always do. I DID like the timing of it, tho - if we have to have one, I want to be able to enjoy the couple for a while after they get back together, and this story does that. It made the SOB feel like what it's supposed to be - a blip in the relationship, not the whole story. Idk if that makes sense to anyone but me!
Anyway, we get LOTS of couple together time AND family (Ridge & Kendall, Tyler & Reagan, Seth, Kent, Amelia, and the kiddos (and parents). It's just such a cohesive, loving, amazing group, I love reading about them all together. I love that they make time for each other even w/ all the craziness of parenthood & drama that goes on in everyone's lives.
Dawn & Mark's love story is sweet, sexy, intense & enjoyable. I loved this story LOTS, I say again! And as ever w/ this series - looking forward to the next story (I think it's Seth's). <3

The entire Unexpected series is gut wrenching, but I canNOT put these books down. I love the fact that you can't guess what will happen. The only guarantee is the HEA you can trust will be there. That's what continually draws me in to everyone of Kaylee's books. This was no exception. Mark and Dawn's story is not just about the trials they go through. It's about the strength they draw from each other and this special circle of friends. Thank you, Kaylee, for reminding us that love, friendships, and the support from them all is not extinct!

Racing heart. Warm tears. Butterflies. This book is EVERYTHING. I felt every word down in my soul. Marcus Adams is what every woman dreams of. Dawn Miller is the heroine we strive to be. The loyalty in this group of friends is palpable. You will feel the love long after you finish Unexpected Fall. We don’t deserve Kaylee Ryan. Each book is better than the last.
