This was an interesting read. The worldbuilding has been set up well, and there is the underlying mystery regarding who is doing what to take down the Wolf Pack and take over the town. The relationship between Brice and Ethan progressed really fast, and we didn't see a lot of it - more got told that it had been happening (like being told they'd met up for breakfast each morning for the past week to chat and get to know each other). While this works in some situations, I found I didn't get the character depth because I didn't get to know either of them. And despite Brice knowing nothing about the supernatural world, he accepted Ethan as his mate and as a shifter without even a blink. I would have expected him to at least freak out for a minute or two at being confronted with 15 extra large wolves, but nope, he just figured out who Ethan was and went about having sex with him in the middle of the forest.
At this stage I'm not sure if the intrigue about the town is enough for me to keep reading. I want at least a little suspense or the characters to have to work a little at their relationships. When it's too smooth it's boring. No arguments, no doubts - it was too neat to really be interesting beyond their initial meeting. But if that's the sort of read you're after, then definitely give it a go. I'm just not sure it's for me at this stage.

Short but oh so sweet.Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 19 December 2020
Really loved this , could have read about this couple for another 1,000 pages. Luckily there’s 3 more book where I’m sure they will pop up.
Enjoyable read. 👍💖💖😊Reviewed in the United States on 13 June 2019
I truly enjoyed reading this wonderful shifter romance. The characters were compelling and the world building was well done. Brice and Ethan were perfect for each other and I applaud the fact that Brice had no fear once he realized that Ethan was a wolf shifter who helped to protect their town. To some extent it was difficult for me to read about some of the problems that were going on, however, it was handled well at the end. I'm ready to read the next book in this series. Overall, it was a touching and fascinating read. =)

Great beginning to this shifter series!Reviewed in the United States on 28 May 2020
Wow! This book was great! I just downloaded the other three books in this series after reading this one. I loved reading about Ethan and Brice discovering that they are mates. There is the suspense of a mystery that appears to be running through the series that keeps your attention but does not overshadow the romance. Very well edited as well. All in all, this was a great read. On to the next!

Wowza! That was awesome!Reviewed in the United States on 9 April 2019
If the second book of this series was out, I would have downloaded and read it immediately. I got so wrapped up in this story, I didn't want it to end. I wanted more of Ethan and Brice and more of the wolves. I'm loving everything about this world. The way the pack and their allies have watched over the town for so long and how Brice has been accepted as Ethan's mate. I'm excited to see the other guys call in love and I really fantastic to see Bruce's dad and the pastor get what's coming to them.

I liked how everything in the town was. You know there was a bad guy. You knew there was a good guy. And there was a mating! Yea! I loved it all. Keep writing.
