Product Description

Nora Kincaid has one goal for her second year of college: be invisible. Last year’s all-party-no-study strategy resulted in three failed classes and two criminal charges, and if she messes up again she’ll lose her scholarship. But there’s one problem with her plan for invisibility, and his name is Crosbie Lucas: infamous party king, general hellraiser…and her new roommate’s best friend.

Crosbie’s reckless reputation and well-known sexcapades aren’t part of Nora’s studious new strategy, but as she’s quickly learning, her new plan is also really boring. When Crosbie’s unexpected gestures of friendship pull her head out of her books long enough to see past his cocky veneer, she’s surprised to find a flawed and funny guy beneath it all. The muscles don’t hurt, either.

But as Nora starts to fall for Crosbie, the weight of one of last year’s bad decisions grows even heavier. Because three failing grades and two misdemeanors are nothing compared to the one big secret she’s hiding…

Fantastic story, highly recommend. First story I have read of this author, and I have quickly bought a few more to read. I laughed out loud at moments and got strange looks but they were worth it! Takes you back to a time when college, studying and parties all clashed with each other. You will definitely enjoy this funny story! Enjoy!

I enjoyed this book so much. I loved Nora and her approach to life as she tries to get back on track.
For me, it was never really a love triangle. Not in the traditional sense anyway. I absolutely loved Nora's relationship with both Kellan and Crosbie. One of them was the perfect boyfriend and both of them were gorgeous. No spoilers, I won't say which was which, but you've got to read this story! I'm not sure what took me so long but I'll be looking for more from Julianna Keyes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great college romance! 22 April 2016

Loved this one. It was perfect college romance. If you like them, go ahead, you will love this one.

Nora and Crosbie were great together. She used to party a lot, too much even, so now came the time to be boring Nora Bora, no partying, no drinking, no hooking up, just working and studying. She changes dorm for an apartment and her roommate turns out to be the hottest guy on campus Kellan. It's not Kellan who notices Nora though but his best friend Crosbie. Crosbie, well, he used to party a lot too, but somehow after meeting Nora, Crosbabes are not important anymore and that party hard frat boy prefers spending time with Nora Bora than going back to his wild college life.

The whole book is funny, sexy and cute. But what college romance would it be if it didn't involve drama. Naturally there is some, tiny bit of drama, but it wasn't that bad, really. And it solves quickly. Anyway, college romances are one of my favourites and this was one of the better ones I've read. I recommend!

And I really wouldn't mind to get Kellan's book either.

PS. There is no love triangle or cheating if you are scared of that. I know the title and cover might suggest otherwise, but I promise none of that here.

5.0 out of 5 stars 5 “Crossbabe” STARS 10 April 2016

W-I-N! I sure enjoyed this college story it was the type you can truly settle into. It’s perfectly paced, having a great selection of male characters, a relatable heroine, and terrific secondary characters. The love aspect and feels were prevalent and the icing on the cake was the author’s witty sense of humor!

Nora Kinkaid let it all hang out for her freshman year of college and she has faced some brutal consequences because of her behavior. Heading into her sophomore year it’s her last chance to get her grades up and keep her scholarship.

”I went from zero to sixty without ever taping the brakes, and eventually I spun out. So here I am, back to zero, hunkered down, paying for all my fun .”

Nora decides to leave the dorms and answers an ad for a ‘studious, responsible roommate’. To her surprise, the uber-jock and renowned campus party boy, Crosbie Lucas answers the door for his best friend Kellan McVey/most wanted guy on campus, her one-time drunken closet hookup who doesn’t recognize/remember her at all! Kellan’s trying to get his own act together for the upcoming school year and buys into Nora’s nerd vibe and offers her the room.

Nora shuts down all avenues of fun, just focusing on her school work and her job while getting to know Kellan and his best friend Crosbie whether she wants to or not. Slowly Nora and Crosbie’s attraction and interest in one another grows and I have to say I simply adored every scene they had together. Crosbie was the perfect amounts of hot, sexy and sweet. Kellan was just as strong a character and will more than carry his own book if the author ever entertains the idea. Here’s a glimpse of Crosbie and Nora’s banter…

”We've got half an hour until the next showing. "We can see Kill Glory 3," he says reluctantly, reaching over to tug me in by the collar. "But let's make out for a bit first."

"Make out?" I feign offense. "You haven't even bought me popcorn."

"Can I just give you the ten dollars?.”

Crosbie and Nora brought all those butterflies and some really hot sex scenes. I adored this hero and all his facets (magic acts, Superman costume, Hustler magazine, jumping on the bed, and that necklace!) he was always unique and though the story is told only in Nora’s POV I could sense his feelings well before Nora did.

”But the guy over me now isn’t the obnoxious jock I thought I knew, just like I’m not the responsible bookworm he thinks he knows.”

Together Nora and Crosbie were perfect for one another.

So the “secret” of this story is the fact that Nora and Kellan did hookup last school year. Due to a situation in the story, the guys are trying to find the red corset girl’s identity so when it’s revealed it’s bumpy for Crosbie and Nora. I felt that Nora wasn’t wrong in not telling Crosbie or Kellan for that matter about their one time hookup last year. When would have been the appropriate time since Kellan doesn’t seem to even remember? Anyway, you know the truth will come out and when it does the author doesn’t drag the separation out nor Crosbie and the author shame the heroine. The story was very well done, enjoyable and even has magic. I can totally see a series branching off this grouping of characters!

5.0 out of 5 stars My FAVORITE New Adult book of the year! #MustRead #IWantMore 28 May 2016

I picked Undecided up on a total whim. It was suggested by Amazon after I was looking at another book. I’m not going to lie, it caught my eye because I thought it may be about a triangle. (I secretly love a good triangle book when I’m in the mood.) It is NOT a love TRIANGLE story. I repeat, it’s not a triangle love story. What it is, is a PERFECT combination of charming characters, angst int he best way, and witty banter throughout this new adult story. When I started the first chapter, I couldn’t put down. I was hooked.

No. Seriously, I literally couldn’t put this book down. I loved every word. I loved each and every character (from Nora to Crosbie to the secondary characters I grew to love). I loved the setting (college romance is the BEST) and plot (second chance at doing better in school and with relationships). It was simply an addictive story and I beg you to pick it up for yourselves.

It’s been a while since I wrote a review. Longer since I found a new adult book that captured my attention, and nestled itself in my book heart library. My life is at an all time busy high. I had to take a day off from teaching to prepare for my second job, and one-clicked this baby on a whim while taking a break. This was the BEST one-click decision I ever made. And I devoured it. I started it at 9pm and at 12:30am, I forced myself to sleep with a xanax and a quick PM to a book friend to get her to read it too. Afterall, I NEEDED others to read this, I needed to share the love of the amazingness (yes, I know it’s not a word but should be) of this story. It is a MUST READ for all New Adult lovers.

This book is about second chances. Who doesn’t regret one thing (ok many things) they did and wanted a do over? Nora is trying to boost her grades in college to keep her scholarship after a year of partying and hook ups. Her new roommate is trying to improve his grades too. Only thing is he’s one of the biggest players at school. Kellan is a track star, with a love of girls on the side. His best friend is Crosbie, who also has a reputation with the ladies, is hanging around and a friendship begins. Nora soon learns all studying and no social life is pretty boring. Will Nora learn how to balance having fun and doing well in school? Will she open her heart and mind to new possibilities and new friendships? This book has it all…everything that makes you smile when reading. It’s captivating and delightful in every way.

I can not stress to you HOW much I enjoyed reading this book. I want more. I may have PM the author and asked…what’s next? This book needs a bigger audience and I ask that you give it a chance. I want everyone to read this!!! Julianna Keyes is now a top author of mine. Undecided was the best 2016 decision I had so far. Not only a top read this year, but possibly a top favorite book of all time! Fingers crossed my patience holds out.

I’m going to either re-read this book now, or one-click every other book Julianna Keyes has published. Yes, this book made me obsessed! I need more.
4.0 out of 5 stars Entertaining romance with a sweetheart of a hero 22 March 2017

I suppose there's only so many new things you can include in a college romance, but this book had some originality which kept me entertained. Nora is not so much a reformed wild child as she is reverting to type after an ultimately disastrous breakout during her first year of college. She finds herself rooming with Burnham stud Kellan who doesn't even remember their drunken encounter in a closet at a frat party, but that's fine with Nora. But then she finds herself falling for Kellen's best friend Crosbie.

Crosbie is the best thing about this book. He has several unexpected and appealing traits and Nora slowly realises that he is far more than Kellan's heedless frat boy wingman. In fact that's not who he is at all. There are several really sweet moments in this book as Crosbie is the one who is willing to put his feelings on the line.

The main characters' interactions with their friends are amusing, and there is plenty of snappy dialogue. When Kellan has reason to recall all the girls he hooked up with in the previous year his attitude is kind of funny and horrifying at the same time but I suppose that's a reflection of the average college student's purely practical view of sex.

I didn't much like the author's choice of first person present tense narration. Having only Nora's point of view was OK in that it created some lovely moments as Crosbie's emotions were revealed, but the present tense thing is so clunky sometimes that it always bugs me. And it's hard to maintain; there were some places where past tense verbs and participles slipped in and it felt jarring to me.

I really didn't like the way the inevitable emotional crisis was staged, either. The key incident contained big gaps in logic and it felt like some characters behaved in an unnnatural way that was fashioned to fit the plot rather than being consistent with their depiction up to that point. But that's just how it struck me; I was perhaps unreasonably annoyed by that part of the book.

Overall though, Undecided was a very enjoyable read for its hero alone.
5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect, feel-good New Adult romance 13 March 2017

I adored this book! I loved everything about it (especially Crosbie, the wonderful hero). New Adult is often so overdone with drama and angst that I've pretty much given up on it, but the best authors, Tammara Weber, Megan Erickson, and Sarina Bowen for example, find that perfect balance between heavy issues, genuine seeking of direction, and light-hearted attitudes. I'm happy to say that Julianna Keyes has also found that balance and it made for a great read.

It's been many years since I was in college, but I could totally relate to Nora, Crosbie, and Kellen, each of them trying on different adult personas and figuring out what fit them best. In general, I'm not a big fan of first person, present tense writing, but in this case, it worked for the story that was being told. My only complaint is that because of that POV, we didn't get into Crosbie's head, but the author did a great job in showing what he was feeling and in demonstrating through his actions how hard he was falling for Nora. I also loved that their romance followed a realistic timeline, where they met and were attracted to each other, but got to know each other before they ever got together. I'm so happy to find a new author in this genre that I can love. Now I'm dying to read the second book, Undeclared, which features Nora's roommate, Kellen, who's kind of a man-whore in this book.
