Uncovering Desire (Uncovering Love Book 2) Kindle Edition
Gone is the sweet girl and best friend I left behind. In her place, a foul-mouthed, do whatever she wants no matter what I say, and drive me completely insane kind of woman. Kate's determined to push all my buttons, and now that she's my new roommate things are about to get worse.
Did I mention we recently hooked up for the best night of sex I'd had in my entire life? Right. That was before she moved into my apartment. Now every time she prances by in one of her curve hugging outfits I can't stop remembering how good she felt in my arms. How perfectly our bodies fit together. Too bad we can't be in the same room without picking a fight. Only, lately I'm starting to feel more than just irritation for her. More than just desire. More than anything I've ever felt before.
Uncovering Desire reads as a standalone, or start with Evie and Tate's story in Uncovering Love.

We meet Kate and Jon in the first book of the series and now they have their time in the spotlight with this book. I really enjoyed getting to know Jon and Kate better.
This book brought out all my emotions. I managed to laugh out loud, cry my eyes out and I was wrapt from beginning to end. It was raw and emotional but fun and snarky and sweet and sexy.
Kaceys writing is engaging and easy to read. I look forward to reading more of this series and meeting with some of the other characters.
I voluntarily reviewed this advanced reader copy and I have not been compensated in any way.
These two have so much pent up frustration and anger, but when they gave off its explosive.
After serving his county, Jon had returns to civilian life. Starting a PI business with his friend Evie, keeping him busy and mind occupied.
When Kate is unexpectedly homeless, a vacant room allows these two to become roommates for a few weeks and the sparks are explosive.
With harbouring feelings since high school and secrets she hasn't shared, can Kate overcome her fear and let Jon in?
When these two were together it was amazing, when they weren't fighting it was entertaining, but Kates hot/cold and secrets became a bit much and I think would have been good revealed about earlier so we knew why she is the way she is.
Though Carlys story I am so excited to read, she seems so sweet and those two adorable boys.... aaaaahhhhhhh

They were friends in high school, although their friendship is very much built on antagonising each other. They can 'push each others buttons' so well and their mutual friend Evelyn spends a lot of time diffusing the arguments!
Kate is a fun and easy-going party girl and portrays herself as quite the 'man eater', but there are some underlying issues which she tries to keep hidden. On the other hand, Jon is very disapproving of Kate's behaviour and clearly wouldn't want a girlfriend who acts as she does....but is nevertheless drawn to Kate like a moth to a flame.
Jon has issues of his own, which are amplified when he gets bad news about an old colleague.
What I loved about this book is the 'push and pull' between the characters. There is some sizzling chemistry between the two and when they hook up the sparks fly, but the relationship is anything but straight-forward. It was a really believable story and I wanted the HEA for the both of them so much!!
