My first read by Nikki Ash and will not be my last!
Unbroken Promises was a beautiful and heartbreaking story, l was in tears so many times then smiling the next! Love the journey these three bestfriends Cole, Delilah & Xander took us on! This story was so much more than MFM/MM the story had heart and soul!
So worth the read!

This book was beautifully heartbreaking and so well written I couldn’t put it down!
The story of three best friends with one promise.
A pact that could become more or could tear them apart!
This book brings out all the feels! You felt their joy, their struggle, their hope and their loss.
I don’t want to say too much about the story, but it was such a fantastic story line, the characters were amazing and beautiful and the emotions are real!
I think this is one of those stories that will stay in my heart for years to come!! ❤️❤️

Wow what can I say? Rhis is this authors best novel to date.
This book is MFM, but it is not like you would traditionally thing MFM is like.
"In that moment I know I'm in love with my best friend."
We get to see all three characters POV in this story.
I devoured this book and wanted to have more time with these 3 characters. I need more.

The way Nikki pulled this off was truly magnificent.
The friendships, love, heartbreak and all round toghetherness.
Even though you can predict what's coming the story itself is truly gripping from beginning to end. So many years shed, then came joy.

This book was not what I expected. Not at all. It’s Nikki Ash, so it’s hot and steamy romance with a nice dose of angst, some fantastic humor and the traditional HEA, right? Nope. Not even close. I think Ms. Ash may have just created a new genre where women's fiction meets beyond-steamy romance. It might better be described as “rip my heart out, tear it to shreds, chop it up in a blender and toss in a grenade for good measure" romance, because it certainly did all that. And for that, my bruised heart has a few choice words for this author once it gets over the emotional hangover. But the other side of it, that balances things out beautifully, is the reminder of what a precious gift love is, the beauty of hope and healing, and the magic of wishing on a shooting star.
This story is like nothing else in the romance genre today, and it is unforgettable. It’s devastating and heart wrenching, and it's uplifting and inspiring. Ash balances the pain, loss and fear with compassion, optimism and the promise of new beginnings. Yes, it will put your heart through the wringer, but it’s so fresh, unique and different that it’s absolutely worth going on this journey. Ash’s talent and skill truly shine in this phenomenal work that is easily her best to date. I hesitate to take up a spot of my list for top five books of the year, but I think Unbroken Promises rightfully earns a place there.
I’ll admit that I was apprehensive about reading a book with anything that deviates from the typical H/h romance, but I’m so glad I didn’t let that keep me from reading this book. I put on a brave face and dove right in and I was in love with these characters by the end of the second chapter. I thought I knew how things would resolve but I couldn’t have been more wrong. In many aspects it was a challenging read, but the reward was unparalleled. Ash held me prisoner with these very real, vulnerable and eternally endearing characters and I was helpless to do anything but devour the book in one setting. Although their story is poignant and heartbreaking it shows that there can be blessings from pain, contentment from sorrow and beauty from ashes. Tragic. Authentic. Heartbreaking. Inspiring. Unique. Uplifting. Unforgettable. Don’t miss it.

Friendship built through childhood adversity, becomes a love that will last their lifetimes.

How is it that you can absolutely love a book that broke your heart? That had you ugly sobbing, reaching for tissues as you just wanted to reach in and comfort the characters as much as you wanted the comfort for yourself.
Well, Nikki Ash did, and I was. She broke my heart, I loved the book, and I sobbed. Then I was comforted, and I felt so much love for the characters, and still so much love for the book. Unbroken Promises, what a winning formula Nikki Ash has put together between these pages. You will see it labelled as MFM/MF and MM, but, do not mistake this for erotica in any form. Yes it’s H O T, *fanning myself, seriously*, but, there are emotions on so many levels. Emotions literally soak the virtual pages of this book!
This is an amazing story of Cole, Delilah and Xander. They became the very best of friends at 12, and have stuck pretty much together since then, and I hesitate to talk too much about the plot for fear of giving away spoilers, but, I can tell you what I loved about it, and say that these three characters are nothing short of beautiful in their own right.
Xander and Cole came to be foster brothers after tragic childhood circumstances, and live locally to Delilah. She’s living through a sombre and challenging childhood of her own, something neither a child nor their parents should ever have to deal with, and the two boys become the stalwarts of support that she needs them to be. I especially loved Cole and his heavy sense of accepting fate and that things happen for a reason, that sometimes there are sh!t things happening in life that could still lead to a promise of something better. He is really an optimist. Trouble is, he also continually looks back to a childhood promise he made, and almost risks their entire futures when he can’t seem to move forward.
So many times we read of parents who will stop at nothing to control their children. Not so Delilah’s parents, John and Joanne. They are the heroes in this book. Their unconditional love is beautiful, inspiring, and amazing. There was so much adversity facing them as parents in this book, and they shone like stars. I loved them.
I did receive an early copy of this book, but, I loved it so much that I had to buy my own. I don’t believe that I can write words well enough to convince readers that Unbroken Promises is a story that is anabsolute MUST-READ. It’s quite a big read, and deserves every one of it’s 5 Stars. Seriously.

I fell in love with this author
Reviewed in the United States on 27 September 2018Verified Purchase
My first read by Nikki Ash and I absolutely can't wait to read more from her. This story started out with a bang...with heartbreak but also with redemption and new found family. This is a love story that transcends family and friendship. A story so filled with emotion that I told the author I hated her at one point (I don't really though...the book put me through the paces). Will Delilah, Cole and Xander have their happy ending? Apart? Together? Once I started, I literally could not put the book down because every time a shoe fell, I HAD to see where Nikki would go with the story. It has a little of everything, a little YA that becomes a bit steamier (okay maybe very steamy) and enough angst and pain to break your heart. But along the way it also has hope and faith and in the end...that's the best we can ask for.
