Product Description

It’s always easy to say what one should have or could have done to change the events in their life, but what happens when it's too late? When the damage is already done? Do I just give up? It’s hard to see a way out when I am lost in a sea of pain and have to face the realization that a chain of bad choices put me in my present state.

I’ve always believed I was a fighter, but somewhere along the line I forgot that, I gave up, I broke down. But here’s the thing, I wanted to be better, I wanted another chance to do better.

Don’t you think I knew all along that Dylan was my light, my love? I did. But like I said love is twisted.

When someone falls victim to their worst nightmare do you catch them when they fall or do you turn your back on them? I know I shouldn’t question this, but Luc understood my inner turmoil. Two broken souls, our bond almost seemed unbreakable. Almost.

I’ve met obstacle after obstacle. It’s laughable that I thought the threat would end with Luc. The threat is real, the fear I feel when I look over my shoulder is all real.

I’m Alexis White and I’ve learned from my mistakes, the question is: will I be brave enough to give away my heart forever?

Book 1 had so much happening and I was really looking forward to this one. It is way slower and after reading 50% nothing much has even happened. It's now become meh for me.
Like, when is she going to hook up with Dylan or Luc?
Why would she even consider Luc after what he did?
Is she actually going to seek justice for what Luc did or just sit in her room dreaming about the past all day?
Something should have happened by now.
Could do with another once over of editing as well. I didn't seem to have any major issues with book one, apart from the odd typo here and there, but with this one, the past and present tense are jumbled up and I kept having to re read sentences for them to make sense, for example, 'I walk out the door' / 'I walked out the door', then the next sentence will be the complete opposite.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved IT!! 20 June 2015

**ARC provided for an honest review**

Wow! Twisted Love by R.C Stephens is a Romantic Suspense that doesn’t fail to deliver. Twisted Love is the second book in the Twisted series by Stephens and is a continuation of book one: Bitter Sweet Love. You must read Bitter Sweet Love first to appreciate the powerful love triangle portrayed in the series. While Bitter Sweet Love was excellent and left us waiting for the conclusion of that crazy cliffhanger, Twisted Love is so much more. This book is undeniably good and difficult to put down.
Twisted Love starts off right where book one ended and it packs a suspenseful punch all the way through. The story is told in dueling points of view from both Alexis and Dylan, leaving the reader to feel the emotion and turmoil that each character experiences throughout the book; the only thing missing is Luc’s point of view.
Alexis is in love with two men; in love with two men who have badly hurt her in different ways. There is the love of her life, Dylan, from whom she has been basically estranged from since their break-up in high school, seven years ago. He is the only one who has truly seen her and knows the deep wounds she carries from her abusive childhood. In a lot of ways he saved her, but she never felt good enough for him. The love was so deep and real, that when the relationship ended, she has spent her entire adult life running from love and relationships. That is, until Luc. He gets her. He understands the things she has been through, experiencing them himself. Both men have hurt her and broken her trust. Without revealing spoilers from this book and book one, Luc has hurt Alexis badly. So badly that she is now living in fear, but the reader still feels for Luc. Alexis still feels for Luc despite the hurt. Then, Dylan enters into her life again, he says for good this time, but he carries secrets of his own. He and Alexis may not be as different as she thinks. How will she move on? Who will she choose? Will it ever be safe again? All of these answers are provided to us in Twisted Love!!!
“Our road to love was bitter and sweet and faith had a tough journey for us. Fate had twisted our love but when true love was given to you, you didn’t back down.”
Twisted Love was a very well written, page-turning read. This book is definitely an ADULT suspense and romance and is best for readers over age 18. There is profanity, violence, and sexual situations in this book. I would rate Twisted Love 5 out of 5 stars!!

3.0 out of 5 stars Good storyline, needs less fluff. 4 June 2015

** Spoilers, especially if you have not read the first book yet.**
Twisted Love is the continuation of Bitter Sweet Love, which ended on a cliffhanger. The book opens with Lexi being taken to the hospital due to severe bleeding and injuries. This is due to the last scene of the first book in which Luc, her husband, beats her severely. Throughout this book, Lexi is overcoming her fears and past scars of abuse from both Luc and her mother. She is also learning to evaluate her feelings and make decisions based on that. The main plot of the story is that she is going to testify against Luc and his father, which of course puts her in danger. This book has a lot of repetitiveness from the first book with Lexis thoughts, which I guess is realistic since people often times think the same thoughts over and over, but it slowed the progress of the book down.
I really like how the author opened the book with a scene that made you wonder what was going on, then flashed back to a month before the incident. I think it gives you something to look forward to and piques your interest in what is going on. With the love triangle, you are wondering which man she is talking about in the snapshot of the future. I also love how both she shows that both men love Lexi and are willing to do just about anything for her. Luc is the antihero that you are supposed to hate, but the author is creative and spins his story so that we can see that maybe the way he acts is not 100 percent his fault. That’s not to say his actions are excusable, but Lexi does love him and the author shows her conflicted feelings over his negative actions and his positive actions. There is a specific scene near the end of the book that, in my eyes, helps show who he really is as a person. Dylan is just a saint in my opinion. In the book he alludes to past transgressions and mistakes, but any man willing to stay beside a woman with as many conflicting feelings as Lexi deserves a metal. He truly is the hero of the story. Overall, I liked the basis of the story, but thought there was still too much fluff. Also, the repetitiveness was annoying at times so I rated this book a 3.

5.0 out of 5 stars #Holdontoyourseat! 4 June 2015
By Jennifer Pierson: The Power of Three Readers - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
WOW! Twisted Love is a fantastic ending to the Twisted Series. You must read Bitter Sweet Love first to get the full effect of the intense love triangle between Alexis, Dylan, and Luc.

The story starts right off where book 1 ended with Alexis in the hospital badly beaten from Luc's brutal attack. Not only is she physically traumatized but the emotional trauma has her shut down completely. She's so busy blaming herself that she can't even speak. Her baggage is
a mountain of regret so she's more convinced than ever that she will never be good enough for Dylan.

Dylan is done leaving Alexis alone. He assures her that will prove to her that he's never leaving her again. Dylan, however, had his own set of baggage he's carrying around. The one thing he knows, without a shadow of a doubt, is that he and Alexis are supposed to be together.

Luc is the third tortured soul. He has done some very bad stuff for his mobster family
and its torn him up. The demons he carries has him drinking too much and with the added drugs in the mix, he doesn't even remember beating Alexis up. He's trying to get himself out of the family business with everyone alive.

I LOVED LOVED LOVED LOVED AND LOVED this ending so much! It started out explosive and ended with a bang. The emotions of the characters were very realistic for me, to the point where I wanted to choke them out at one time or another. I seriously hated Luc at the beginning but came to view him in a different light by the end of book. I loved all of them so much!

R.C. Stephens wrote a freaking brilliant story of redemption. Her amazing style of writing of her characters showed that everything is not always black or white. She had me guessing until the very end. My emotions are still all over the place which is why I wish I could rate this story more than 5 Stars for it deserves it. Although it was an ending, I really hope I get to see more of these characters in the future!

Twisted Love is the continuation of the Twisted series. To get the full experience and to completely understand the plot, you must read Bitter Sweet Love first. This was the resolution to the angsty, love triangle between Luc, Dylan and Alexis. I wouldn't recommend reading this review until you read book 1 as there will be some spoilers from the first book.

Starting with the gut wrenching cliffhanger of Bittersweet Love, Alexis is in the hospital recovering from Luc's attack. As she's recovering from not only her physical trauma but the emotional trauma as well, she's adrift in her own mind. She believes that everything that happened was her fault. She feels like she invited Luc into her life, and she brought the heartbreak upon Dylan so she just isn't good enough for a happy ending.

Now not only does she have a husband who was arrested and works for the mob, he abused her and left her almost dead, but now Dylan is back in her life and he says it's for good. Dylan assures Alexis that he is going to spend the rest of his life making up the lost seven years to her. He is going to show her that he will never leave her alone again. Alexis, though, has to work through all her baggage before she can admit that she has a future but so do Luc and Dylan who both have unfinished business with Alexis and with each of their own pasts.

Not only does Alexis have to work through her feelings for Luc and her realization that she is still in love with Dylan, she has to contend with Luc's family. Luc himself is on the outs and now he has dragged Alexis down with him. With more threats that heartbreak, Alexis has to fight for her happiness in more ways than one.

I really liked this conclusion. It started out with a bang and a really well thought out aftermath. I liked how R.C had Alexis working through her problems. It was realistic even if some of the time the drama was pretty quickly resolved. I also liked the suspense of what Dylan had in his past that he was hiding from Alexis. I really loved the story arc and character development for Luc. After the first book, I hated him. As I started reading this book, I felt like I should still hate him but I just found that I had a hard time doing so. He was just as damaged as Alexis. Even though I'm glad Alexis and Dylan were able to find happiness together (in such a sweet conclusion and epilogue to their story), I am holding out hope that we can find some peace for Luc. I see that there is a third book in this series and since Dylan and Alexis' story concluded here, I'm hoping that book three sees Luc get an HEA.

5.0 out of 5 stars Will blow your mind 22 July 2015

I was given this book for an honest review.

This book is the follow up to Bitter Sweet Love. It's about the struggles that two friends have in re-finding each other and allowing their past not overcome their future.

Honestly with both books I could not put this down, and with both books I found myself getting so upset with Alexis that I literally had to put the book down to cool off before I started reading it. This book was very well written. It had me on the edge of my seat and where I may not be able to relate to everything that was happening with the main characters Dylan and Alexis, I was able to relate to their personalities.

My favorite part of the book was when Alexis moved in with Dylan. I was like FINALLY! I loved the relationship and interactions between Alexis and Dylan. It was a long time coming and I loved the way that Dylan took care of her. I mean you seriously fell in love with Dylan's character in the first book and I found myself rooting for him since Bitter Sweet Love.

My least favorite, is when she told Luc she loved him. I really was confused and almost pissed off. I was thinking that she was going to go back to him. I had to put the book away and take a little break before I threw my kindle across the room.
