Amusing but slightly silly plot that gets progressively sillier. Also please note that it is only 72% of the page count which makes this a short read. The characters are two dimensional and although they should get better as the series progresses still were not what I was expecting from this author. Her other work The Vegan Vampire is funny, zany but still has a good plot running through it. This unfortunately didn't - at least not for me.
Catsitting should have been a breeze if it had been any other cat rather than Twinkle. Now he was missing and two of Santa's reindeer have been found dead. With his record of crimes against everyone he came into contact with and the harassment he'd given the reindeer previously he was the number suspect for the murders. Worse someone had upped the anti and given him a human form to make it even more likely. Can she, her boyfriend and the special enforcer find out what happened to the reindeer before Santa has a melt down? Can they find out who gave him a human form?

Great to have another addition to the Night Shift Witch series with more mysteries for our friendly witch, Star, & her human boyfriend, Ben, to try & solve. What 'catastrophy' has happened to a couple of Santa's reindeers? How is Twinkle (the kitty with attitude) implicated & how is he really now walking on two legs! Look forward, hopefully, to more Star & Ben adventures. Recommended cozy read.

Another terrific story with Star and Ben focusing on the shenanigans of Twinkles the cat who becomes something else entirely. An entertaining tale (hmmm...tail?) that fills in more of the back story for Star and Ben.
