I found it hard to get a sense of the characters from the get-go. I mean, I know the Stephanie Meyer characters, but these ones are written as tho the author was trying too hard not to get sued.....so the characters were weird.
Basically, the town is Eclipse - the girl is Bellduh Swansinner and she's a witch. Her beau is Edworth Cuddles - a tiresome narcissist - who goes on about her red juice and the fact that he's a junkie. ...and on.....and on.
All the characters have been given goofy parody names (well the book is described as a parody after all) . Roosilly and Kermit, Caspar and Alicia.
It's the kind of book you talk about writing when your totally drunk at 4 in the morning....but most people sober up and don't go ahead with it. Sadly, this author did. In my opinion at least. I know there will be people out there who will enjoy the book - I just ain't one of 'em. I suffered through the first 4 chapters and decided I should save myself and just give the rest of it a big miss.
