I like the premise of the book and even more so, I liked that the authored wrote about the lows he experienced and the doubt. I feel the example of long-term success is interesting and would love to see some further data analysis on other workplaces who employ this method. I found this an enjoyable and informative read
Enjoyed David's book and the way the principles are told through the story. The insight about pushing down decisions first requiring clarity and competence is important. Also the necessity to systemise decision-making authority, not just talk about it. Much more enjoyable read than other leadership works out there, yet without becoming a patronising parable. Very happy with the investment.
I will be using the principles espoused in this book within my workplace and life. Read it, digest it, and work out how to use it. Already it is having an impact on my organisation and how we interact.
David Marquet has succinctly defined 21st century leadership with the leader-Leader concept. Whilst deceptively simple in the telling of this valuable book there is a much deeper wisdom in these pages.
I recommend it to anyone at any level in any organisation.
This is well written and easily accessible leadership book directed for the casual observer to become engaged and emacipated. Literally the tools provided here are transferable to very many scopes of leadership that it is a must for the aspiring leaders reference catalog. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and have peppered the margins with notes, and know that I'll be returning to this work often throughout my career. Thanks and well done David Marquet.
