Ummm wow! I’m expecting to have a full blown book hangover at this point. Another amazing read from Penelope Douglas, who’s writing I feel is second to none in this romance world. I’m not for spoilers in reviews so I’ll keep it short and sweet. Liv and Clay have such a great dynamic, whether at the start as enemies or in the end as lovers. Clay’s character progression is phenomenal. The side stories re both the Jaeger and Collins families are so good, and I back every other review calling for a book based on the Jaeger brothers, especially Macon and Dallas. I recommend this so bad! Get on it!
I found this book quite hard to read and I'm not 100% sure why. It was my first Penelope Douglas book, so it could just be her writing isn't my favourite thing. But I think it has more to do with how horrible two women can be to each other, I feel like the bullying in this book was so much worse than any m/f or m/m bully romances that I've read. It was really tough to read in parts. So please check the trigger warnings.
I did love reading f/f romance and I'll definitely pick up another, just maybe not in the bully romance genre.
The dynamic between the girls was phenomenal!!! Clay fierceness and intensity is perfectly balanced by Liv’s stubbornness and determination and I love how hard they fought for each other.
I was a bit unsure for about half the book and was pissed that Liv forgave Clay so easily for all the years of torment but Clays growth and acceptance of herself was beautiful to watch.
Liv’s quote when she says “villains are a lot more complicated than we want them to be. Sometimes, they’re just people who are really afraid” demonstrated a maturity and compassion well beyond her years.
Ooo and the steam *fans self*
I’ve been waiting for TSV, and it did not disappoint!
An enemies to lovers F/F, it was everything I wanted and more!

I got such a nostalgic feeling when I began reading this as it brought so many memories back of reading the Devils Night series - I was pulled into another amazing world created by PD and introduced to all these wild, crazy characters!
This was my first FF story and it 100% didn’t disappoint. If you need any sign to pick up an FF book… this.is.it 🔥
I was so frustrated reading some of the intense bully scenes but that frustration quickly turned around. I love when a book makes me want to pull my hair out (in all the good ways) and I think there’s a fine line between being frustrated and on the edge of your seat, or just completely angry. PD gets it right every time! I was so hooked 👀
I adored Clay and Olivia, both for very different reasons. Clay was so wrapped up in her own little world, too concerned about how she would appear to others. She was that girl in school that everyone was afraid of - you know the one that made everyone’s life a living hell. Yeah.. her 🤦🏽♀️ Liv was the complete opposite, knowing exactly what she wanted and not being afraid to go for it. She stood for ZERO crap and I loved it !! It gave me all the fluttery feels reading the passion that seeped from the pages. The sexual tension was OFF THE CHARTS 🔥
I’m typical PD fashion - TSV was filled with a mountain of secrets, twists and turns. There’s literally never a dull moment in this story. So if you haven’t picked this one up yet… GET ON IT ASAP !
But anyway I loved the story and the characters. I’m not gonna lie.. I wanted to punch Clay in the face for the first 40% or so of the book but her progression and change were so nice to read and I loved her in the end.
I loved Liv the whole way through.. she was a super tough girl who had been through a lot at the hands of Clay but she was strong enough and mature enough to forgive her and move on.
I really really liked this book! I will say that I do prefer MM to FF I think but this is a super good book and I’d say if you haven’t tried FF give this a go!
I'm not going to lie I had some intense hate towards Clay and I'm not going to spoil it with the whys but she grew on me and I found myself falling in love with her and all the characters surrounding her, yeh there was the ones you love and the others that I didn't but this book was full of the diverse emotions that I could only see as being normal.
A definite addition to your tbr
Great HEA ending after a dramatic denouement (almost a thriller in its own right) and just enough final information to make it a satisfying conclusion to the story.
All in all, a really enjoyable book which I will award around 4.8 stars... thanks!
The world created around this book is something I would like to read for a few years from now on and I will never get bored. I have so many questions and curiosities about each character and I hope Penelope will answer and detail them in her next books. Because she has to write more and turn this into a series...
However, Tryst Six Venom is all about limits, boundaries and people with completely different background. The opposites attract no matter how hard they trying to fight against it and despite of the consequences. Love always wins, at least it does in this book!
