As I mentioned earlier, I've already ordered a second one - and I can't wait until it arrives!
Could I pay the extra $ 25/month for another Foxtel box in my room ? Possibly. Am I too much of a tight ass to do that ? Definitely.
So I though I’d try this little gadget out instead.
I’m so glad I did ! As you can see from my photo, I have the Gooseneck Tablet Stand clamped to the edge of my bedside table and I’m able to get it to an angle where both my hubby and I can watch the iPad quite comfortably. The clamp feels very secure and it’s got rubbery bits along the inside so it won’t scratch your furniture. At this angle, when I touch my iPad the screen will wobble a bit but at no point does it feel like the iPads going to slide out, because the clamps holding it in place are spring loaded. The actual “gooseneck is bendable but still quite stiff - which of course, it needs to be in order for it not to sag under the weight of your iPad.
Was it worth the $ 25 I paid for it ?
Yes, absolutely. To be fair I could have paid twice that price at the shops and still been happy with my purchase.
What about the seller ?
Fantastic service. Paid for it Monday, received it Wednesday, carefully packaged with simple instructions.
Would I buy it again ?
For sure ! Would make a handy Christmas gift for anyone who enjoys watching movies or Tv in bed, or just for a tight ass like me who doesn’t want to part with $ 25 extra bucks a month for another Foxtel box.
Two thumbs up 👍🏽 👍🏽
It’s really awesome. Can shake a bit when it’s on my clipboard (even when looped over itself), but very sturdy when attached to the desk.
It’s always been a pain to sit on the couch and draw (iPad keeps falling over or too far away to be useful), but I can do it with ease now that I have this iPad stand.
I can see myself using this in bed to watch movies on my iPad.
Also if you don't mount it perfectly straight there is a hard plastic strip inside the rubber grips that will dent your furniture!
Otherwise is works well, I use it for my Nintendo Switch and Galaxy S9 with a 2m charging cable wrapped around the Gooseneck up to the bracket. If you use the touch screen it does wobble around a bit but it calms down pretty quickly.
- Keeps Tablet steady
- Doesn't cover either camera lens in landscape position (covers front lens in portrait position)
- Easy to adjust = just tighten/loosen via screw-style lock as needed.
- Abuse-proof = can be knocked, hit with head, elbowed, etc - won't fall off mount = personal experience*
- Con + Pro = the gooseneck rod is pretty stiff to move. You'll get a workout to put it into position. Upside: it won't budge once you anchor it. Downside: not easy to change.
*I've elbowed it, hit it with the back of my head, smacked it with the back of my hand. My Partner turned around and face-planted into it. The mount didn't budge off the IKEA Kallax bookcase or my desk. Tablet experienced no damage. Neither did we bruise - PERFECT PRODUCT.
The instructions that come with it is also practical advice to avoid user inflicted damage (which I probably would have done).
Overall, good product for the price. Definitely recommend.
Easy to install, the gooseneck itself is nice and rigid, meaning the position of your phone/iPad stays in place most of the time.
Really squeaky which can get really annoying. I ended up sliding a small piece of rubber between the neck and the screw as a temporary fix.
The product does the job and haven’t had any issues besides the noise. Although i wish that it was a little longer.

First let me say that I purchased this item from amazon and was in no way compensated by this company for this review. I have had dealings with their customer support and it is for that reason that even with the short coming of this item, they have received a 5 star rating.
Ok, so I have seen some of the criticisms of this stand/holder and they range from complaints about the plastic to the stiffness, and or bounciness of this item.
First: yes, it has plastic, if you don't want plastic, find another product that is going to cost you much more and provide none of the flexibility of this product.
Second: Is the flexible part stiff and hard to shape... yes... but if it were not so then it would sag every time you used it.
Third: is it bouncy... yes.. what do you expect? it is an ADJUSTABLE arm that can be put into most any shape withing reason. How it is that people would expect anything different is beyond comprehension.
Fourth: Does it break... yes... anything will break if you apply to much force or in the case of this stand, at the base where the clamp is. This apparently is not common sense so people need to be told to not be overly aggressive with something at its weakest point.
I have had it for a couple of months now and here is my take on it, It is a nice item to have and once I played with it for a bit I found a shape (spiral) that best suited my use. It is a bit springy which makes touch screen a bit of a pain but it also allows us to use it in unconventional places where a normal stand type would not work. I originally purchased it for my iPad, unfortunately, the clamp is not deep enough to hold my iPad [ http://a.co/d/6SAqD3G ] in its protective case [ http://a.co/d/4vSKCrf ] because in the back of the case is a hand strap and kickstand. I then decided to see if it would work for my wife's Surface pro, and it did, so it currently resides on the headboard of our bed on my wife's side where she mounts the surface pro so she can watch videos with here headphones on instead of turning on the TV. The weight of the surface pro is not an issue and there is no sag. I shaped the arm into a spiral shape and pressed the rings closely together to minimize the springiness of it. While not perfect, it works extremely well, all my wife does is hold one corner of the tablet while using the touch screen with the other. I eventually got a follow up message from this company in regards to the item and whether or not I am happy with it. I explained the issue with my ipad case but that my wife uses it for her surface pro. They quickly got back to me and offered to take the item back for a full refund since it did not meet my needs. Now for those that complain about this product, I have only one question, did you contact customer support? I understand that there are going to be problem units, but I also know that people will complain just to complain. I wholly support putting information out about a bad product and have done so on occasion myself but I always add that the issue I had is based on one unit that I received and may not reflect the product as a whole. I have no complaints about this product or this company, I have purchased two products from them and have yet to see any of the issues others have complained about. Maybe i'm lucky but I think that it has more to do with managing expectations and not abusing the products. I highly recommend this product for two reasons, first, it is actually a very good product that is durable as long as you are not heavy handed when using it. Two, they have taken a page out of the amazon customer service handbook and made it better. Their customer service is amazingly responsive, professional and courteous. I would and will buy from this company again because I know that if the product is not up to my standards then they are willing to make things right within reason. A big thumbs up for a very cool product and the amazing customer service rep Kevin that deserves a raise for dealing with a difficult person like me. I hope this review helped
Oh yeah, one last thing, the clip (that holds your table or phone depending on which one you get) uses a very strong spring which is needed to hold things in place. It is made of plastic which keeps the weight down and keeps the arm from sagging, this plastic will eventually break if you allow it to snap shut when you remove you phone or tablet. If you don't want it to break then use a little common sense and don't allow it to snap closed, that should be a no brainer but from looking at some of the reviews, apparently it needs to be said out loud.
I just got this today and I'm using it with my Dell Venue 8 7840 which weighs a little over half a pound.
I have the stand attached near my bed on a sturdy shelf. I have inverted the stand to suit my space. Overall i like the stand. It works and it only wobbles when you bump into it or have headphones attached and shift. The wobbling can be stopped with your hand but it is a bit too unstable for my tastes. I feel like i will be upgrading to something sturdier like an arm mount if this concept tablet/bed scenario plays out.
Also my tablet is very thin and lightweight. The tablet stand does not protrude over the edges or block the screen view even on the thinnest of bezels. In regards to the weight...i do not feel like this stand can hold any tablet over a pound.
I'm a fan of the stand and suggest anyone looking into this kind of thing to start here. It turned out to be much better than I thought it would.
After 4 months of daily use this arm is still going strong. Additionally, I am now using this arm with a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 and it just barely fits in the arms. The weight of the Galaxy S2 Tab and Dell Venue are about the same so there is little to no change there. I remain very please with this product, and the only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because the stand wobbles a bit too much for my liking when it is fully extended.
The gooseneck is REALLY STRONG. So strong it's kind of hard to bend, but that is a good thing, because I know it's sturdy enough to hold my screens in pretty much any position I want without dropping them. I would suggest figuring out how you want to adjust it and bending it before you put your device in and before you actually clamp it to your furniture, etc.
The part that holds the device is very sturdy yet easy to use with soft pads on each side to avoid damage to your device. It is attached to the gooseneck with a ball swivel thingy that makes it really easy to turn your screen in pretty much any direction.
The base clamp is very strong, well made and very easy to use with soft, grippy pads on each side so you don't damage the surface you are clamping to.
All in all, this stand is great and is exceeding all of my expectations and at a great price to boot!!!!
(I am not getting any compensation in return for this review and I purchased it out of my own pocket, I just like this product that much)
The only downside was that I had issues twisting the very sturdy gooseneck, but that was only due to my lack of strength. LOL! I fully understand that it needs to be as stiff as it is if it’s also made to support a tablet. My son loves it! He can play his video games and watch a YouTube video at the same time without having to keep turning his head. He can also have his iPod positioned strategically to allow him to watch videos and movies as he’s lying in bed. He’s tossed his old pillow tablet holder. Haven’t seen that thing since he got his Tyrone Gooseneck stand. I’ve included pictures with the stand holding 2-1/2”x5” iPod and a 5”x8-1/2” Kindle fire tablet. I would definitely purchase this product again.
