The goal: buy a fake passport and get out of the country.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great story 27 May 2017

I really enjoyed Trust Me Forever. The characters are well-developed and the story is well-written. The plot is full of twists and turns that held my interest from beginning to end. Cory definitely deserved to find happiness and peace of mind. No one should ever have to live through the horrors she faced. Alex was swoon-worthy. Not just his looks, either. Everything about him was a manly man and he knew how to treat a woman thanks to his wonderful grandparents.

I couldn't give the story 5 stars because of a couple of things. I don't feel Cory learned much from all the horrors she had survived. She kept making the same dumb mistakes. I can't give much information on the other reason without writing a spoiler. So, suffice to say, I thought the outcome of her past was too neat. I think the repercussions would have been far-reaching.

Having said that, I really enjoyed the book and definitely recommend reading it. I also recommend reading the first book in the series, Accidents Happen. I give the book 4.5 Stars.
4.0 out of 5 stars Second Chance love story! 27 May 2017

I Voluntarily Reviewed an Avanced Reader Copy of this book.

I was excited to read this story. After Cal & Andie's story, I was hyped. I did enjoy this story but it just was missing the more to it. I felt like with Cory's history she should have been more reserved and skittish. Not so eager to jump into bed with Alex. Dont get me wrong, they have a history but after being brutalized by 2 or more men, wouldn't that take her a lot longer to be intimate. All in all it was a good second chance love story. I just needed more!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars nerve-wrackingly good! 30 May 2017

This book was nothing like I thought it would be, which is a good thing. I thought Cory/Sarah, the female protagonist, was more on the run from herself. I had no clue the depth she was involved in with her past. As it all trickles out, the tension and need to keep reading draws you in. I couldn’t read the book fast enough, knowing something was going to happen and waiting for the ball to drop. And it does.

The ending was well thought-out. You can tell the author either went through something similar with the court system or really did her research. It was more thought-out than anything I have read before. It made the book feel more realistic.

There is a lot of misunderstandings in the book between Cory and Alex, the male protagonist. They really hated and were disappointed in each other for many years. It was sad when all the truths came out, and they found out how wrong they were about each other. Misunderstandings are my weakness in books. I just want to yell at the characters and tell them how blind and ignorant they are; tell them to shut up and listen, and finally talk about what happened. That is another thing that trickles out slowly in this book, making me bite my nails at the tension. It was so nerve-wrackingly good!

I’m pretty sure this is part of a series since you get background information on other characters in a way that tells you there is more to the stories. I will most likely read the other books because the secondary characters’ stories seem just as juicy as this book.

By the last chapter and the epilogue, I wanted more. So much happens in the second to last chapter, and then it’s a year later. I felt a tad disappointed in that. Especially considering how that one chapter had such a punch to it.
5.0 out of 5 stars Glad I read this as my first by this author! **Can be read as a stand alone!** 28 May 2017

What a powerful read! This story was as real as it could be in the feelings for the heroine. She has a hard life that keeps getting worse yet deep down she still has hope that it will get better. She doesn’t know where the feeling comes from but it is there is her need to keep fighting. Josie does a marvelous job of seeing the struggle that goes on with our female lead. She is strong, determined, and trust no one. Well that’s not all together true. She trusted one boy long ago but he let her down when it mattered most. She has been fighting to stay true to herself and what she knows to be right and wrong ever since.
When she runs into Alex the shock almost makes her run once again, it is her go to. When things get dangerous she always has an exit plan. She has a new name, new look, there is no way he will remember her, right? Wrong, he does and it drives poor Alex crazy until he gets it confirmed one way or the other. The new waitress at his favorite bar tunes him on like only one girl ever did, but this girl looks different and says her name is Sarah not Cory. He decides to ask her out and go from there.
I really loved this book because of the trust and leap of faith it took for both characters to move forward. They needed to forget the past and figure out what the future might hold, if Cory/Sarah can stay alive that is. There is suspense, passionate love, and fun moments you don’t want to miss. I can’t say more without ruining the story. This is in a series but can be read as a stand alone. Just buy it and enjoy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Cory finds her way home. 27 May 2017

Format: Kindle Edition
This is the first time I am reading a book from this author, and I am finding it very enjoyable. It's about a young girl, Sarah/Cory, fell in love with her neighbors grandson, Alex and would spend all summer with him and who would say he would always protect her, until one day her father end up dead, because of his gambling problem. After her mother married the man that killed him, they moved away to another state, but always knew Alex would come rescue her from her abuser step-father. After a few years of him abusing her, Sarah/ Cory run away from home with a boy named Remy, because she thought Alex forgot her, but he didn't. At age 16, Alex stole his grandfather's car to look for her, only to learn that she ran off with her boyfriend, Remy, leaving Alex to think she forgot about him. After leaving with Remy to his Uncle Alejandra, who she finds out later that he is the lead of the mob, who kidnaps young girls and sells them and also sell drugs. One day when Alejandra call Cory into his office to talks about Remy, but he had other things on his mind, he tries to rape her but ends up dead, when she stabs him a runs. After 10 years Sarah/ Cory, runs to Alex while work in a local bar under the name of Sarah, but Alex was not fooled and decided to find out what happened to her years early.
This is a very interesting book, with a unique storyline and character you couldn't help but to like. It was a very good read.
