Product Description

The Trouble With Mistletoe is the second in New York Times bestselling author Jill Shalvis's Heartbreaker Bay series, featuring her trademark gift for humour, warmth and romance. Perfect for fans of Jill Mansell, Debbie Macomber, Nora Roberts and Marie Force.

Is it time to give him - and love - another chance?

Willa Davis is wrangling puppies when Keane Winters stalks into her pet shop, desperate to leave his great-aunt's Feline-from-Hell in someone else's capable hands. But, despite the fact that he's sure he's never seen the drop-dead-gorgeous pet-shop owner before, she definitely seems to be mad at him...

The last thing Willa is inclined to do is rescue a guy who doesn't even remember her. Still, she can't deny that Keane's changed since high school - but can she trust him not to break her heart again? Maybe all she can do is throw a coin in the fountain, make a Christmas wish - and let the mistletoe do its work...

Want more warm, funny romance? Check out the first Heartbreaker Bay novel, Sweet Little Lies, visit gorgeous Cedar Ridge, spellbinding Lucky Harbor or experience some Animal Magnetism in Sunshine, Idaho in Jill's other unforgettable series.

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.

The Trouble with Mistletoe is a fairly traditional, sweet, contemporary romance. Willa vividly remembers being stood up by Keane as a teenager after she asked him to the Sadie Hawkins dance. So she isn't pleased when he shows up at her shop years later and has no memory of her. I feared this part of the story to be dragged out for most of the book but thankfully it isn't.

Keane makes is clear he doesn't do attachment and love while Willa regularly wishes in the fountain the true love will find her. I really enjoyed this book. Both Willa and Keane are good honest, hard working entrepreneurs. They have great chemistry but each have issues with their past that are impacting their present.

The ending to this story is like something out of a movie. I could easily see the Heartbreaker Bay series being made into films. I loved the sneak peak at the end for the next book. We are going to get Elle and Archer's story. I can't wait.

Yes! We are back in San Francisco with the weird and wonderful group of friend from the Pier Building, and this time Willa is the lucky lady to try her luck at the magic fountain, and hopefully find true love.

Willa, with her wonderful pet store and quirky nature is just adorable.

Keane is the guy that you want to hate on Willa's behalf, but just can't do it. Is he an ar$ehole, or is he a nice guy? I mean, he is looking after his aunt's devil cat, so he can't be all bad, right?

I love the back and forth between our lovelies (though maybe there was a bit too much back and forth and not enough sexy times!) . I loved that Willa didn't give in too easily, she made Keane work for what he wanted.

The best part about these books though is the circle of friends that live/work in their building. It is kind of like Friends meets Melrose Place (minus the bitch slaps!) and it makes me want to move there.

I want to move there, drink and play darts at Finn's pub, hang out with Eddie (though not with his mistletoe!) and just hang out with the gang.

But sigh, I guess I will just have to live vicariously through their stories and with they were real!

Can't wait for the next book in this sweet, sexy and adorable series.
