"Annie's writing always draws me in so that I find myself identifying with the characters, their adventures and their romances. Her characters envelop you and make you a part of their lives. Sienna and Jack are both talented artists and find themselves embroiled in misunderstandings and confused feelings for each other. The saving grace for Sienna is her sister and best friend who keep her grounded until fate conspires to run her off the rails and change all her plans. once again, Annie's descriptive prose takes you to the location and in your mind's eye you are there."--This text refers to the paperback edition.

Jack is the only son in a very wealthy family. The father is a workaholic and he has plans for his son to follow him into business and eventually take over. Jack has other plans and so they have a strained relationship. Jack likes to be fancy free, love the ladies and then move on. His father thinks he is flitting his life away. Jack is an artist and that is his passion. When the father has a heart attack Jack heads home to help his mother. His dad almost lost his life and it caused him to take a good look at what he needs to do to fix his own life. Jack leaves for the coast where he owns an art gallery with a big studio for working on his sculptures.
When he arrives to the studio he finds out his manager is a young woman that he met 2 years ago. They had lots of chemistry and she gave him her number but he never called. she is doing a great job with the gallery and she is using the studio to work on her own pieces. The chemistry is still there but Sienna has no intentions of letting Jack into her life. There is a lot of drama around these two.
Sienna had a neglectful childhood. Her mother dropped her and her twin sister off with her brother and she left town with her current boyfriend. Now that they are adults and making their own way in the world she drops in from time to time wanting money. Sienna's twin has a soft heart and the mother uses that against her. Sienna has a harder heart and does everything to protect her sister.
This is a very good story. It is set in Australia and I definitely recommend it.
I was not paid for this review. I am not a writer nor do I know one. I am not kin to this author. I am a reader and this is my opinion, nothing more, nothing less. 5/3/2020 *****a note. When I wrote my review there was only one other review - a one star saying this story was a rewrite. For some reason there was no place to comment to the review or I would have suggested she contact Amazon for a refund. I'm sure even if the time has passed for a refund she could have explained the situation and they would have made an adjustment.
