Product Description

Nirvelli is determined to wipe out any bit of happiness she has. Her life in the Tribe might have been ideal once upon a time—but three years ago one rebellious act ruined everything. Now she only wants out. Can she escape without destroying everyone she loves?

Kane has lived for over three hundred years with his companion Spirit Wolf. He’s known love. He’s known hate. Never has he run across a woman like Velli. Never has his Wolf cared one way or another whom he bedded or loved.

Until her. The Wolf has declared her his mate. Can Kane say the same? If he finally admits it, will his Healing magic be enough to save the deeply wounded Nirvelli?

A broken law leads to great tragedy, and their separation. Velli finds new levels of danger and loss on her own. Kane struggles to find her, but he may already be too late.

5.0 out of 5 stars Native American Shifters 5 April 2016
By petula winmill - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
This book is an intense, emotional roller coaster. It is full of magical battles, a few laughs and lots of tears. You will need a box of tissues handy.
The Tribe are Native American shifters who live cut off from the outside world. They are very in touch with the spiritual side of their natures.
Our heroine, Nirvelli is depressed and distracted. She should be happy, in a very short time she is going to marry Reed, the man she has loved for years. Velli's problem is the huge burden of shame and guilt she carries. Even with her magic and her wolf, she still feels something is very wrong.
Kane has come to the Tribe's lands to help heal his magic , and maybe get his mate some extra help. If Lily can't learn to control her magic Kane will have to kill her.
The attitude of the tribal elders has caused Velli trouble ever since her first change. That was also when the depression started. When the new people turn up , things for our heroine go from bad to worse in some ways, and improve in another.
Kane is a very old and arrogant wolf, used to doing what he wants and getting everything his own way. He is very powerful but so are others in the Tribe.
I found this a very hard book to put down and look forward to the next one.

5.0 out of 5 stars What a wonderful read! I cannot wait for book 2! 13 April 2016
By Dana Busenbark - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
This Urban Fantasy Paranormal Romance was not what I was expecting right out of the gate. I was very surprised at the glossary to help us understand certain terms and thought there has to be a Native American bent to the book and I was very pleasantly surprised to see this was indeed the case. Knowing 'The Tribe' are shifters, but then watching at least one use some Elemental Magic to some degree was neat. Who is this warrior Kane and his mate that have come back to the Tribe? What does this mean for Nirvelli and her soon to be mate? What has happened in Velli's life that has made her so hateful of 'The Spirits' and their guidance? Why does she feel she is not worthy of her best friend and betrothed? Will we ever find out what is going on with Velli? We see bits and pieces of things, about her, and Reed, and Kane, and others that help us start to see a little better picture. Half way through the book and I weep for Velli and what has happened to her, especially after promises that she would not be hurt, and it feels like she was hurt in the worst possible way. My chest hurts, my heart breaking for her. It is as if I am her, feeling the pain and betrayal. What happens when Velli finds herself in a mall, waiting to meet with someone? When Dr. Adams finds her, who is he and what does he want? What kind of job is Velli working? What happens when the moon comes? What does Dr. Adams offer Velli? Will Kane, Reed, and Lily find her again? You're going to have to read to find out what happens to Velli and the others after they leave the reservation.

5.0 out of 5 stars Buy it! You know you want to...it's worth it 7 April 2016

Absolutely adore this book. The characters draw you in almost immediately. The twists and turns take you on a roller coaster ride of emotions. There are times you want to hug the characters and tell them it will be okay and others you want to throttle them. The concept itself is a refreshing twist on Shifters. The was she blends the world together makes you want more. Cannot wait for the rest of the series
4.0 out of 5 stars An intense, dark psychological drama of epic proportions. 21 April 2016
By Dee Archer - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
An intense, dark psychological drama of epic proportions. Velli is a Native American wolf shifter lost in deep depression with self loathing, regret and an innate ability for self sabotage. Being privy to her thoughts is a walk through crazy town. The leaders do a number on her that sends her running off the reservation into the white world. There she falls prey to sinister forces, the extent of which she is unaware. Kane is an Elder wolf shifter with complicated circumstances that is determined to rescue and heal her. An exhausting, roller coaster ride of emotions with an unresolved conclusion. Four stars.

At first I really wasn't sure I liked it. It's a different type of story then I usually read, but by the end it was " you've got to be kidding me" now I have to wait until the next one comes out. Hurry Miss Cass!
