One of the best books I have read on building and maintaining team culture. Em clearly has a depth and breadth of experience working with teams and this is brought to life in her engaging style. The stories are real and raw - talking to both successes and learnings. There are nuggets of information on every page with easy to follow take-aways that can be applied to any team situation. It's wonderful to have on Kindle to search and revisit key information - I never go more than a few weeks without referring to it. Briliant book!

Em Campbell-Pretty tells a very personal and human story about how to create awesome tribes. Her book is full of useful take-aways, real life examples and practical ideas people can use. One big lesson shared is that success is often based on having the courage to seize opportunities. Eve seasoned Agilists will find something here! I certainly did.

Great, Practical Read To Kick Start Culture In TeamsReviewed in the United Kingdom on 27 October 2018
If you're looking to get teams that you're managing, coaching, working with or collaborating with all motivated, engaged and aligned, then this is the book for you! This is a great read, bursting full of real life war stories, practical tips and anecdotes, all geared towards building a winning mentality and culture in your place of work! The team self selection guidance is excellent, cocktail hour (not what it sounds) simple yet powerful and some of the "off the wall" ideas, including getting 100s of people dancing are surprisingly effective! The book is well written, easy to digest and added real value in only a few hours! If you want to get your team(s) motivated, inspired, productive and happy, then this is for you!
Great read to start my SAFe journeyReviewed in the United Kingdom on 9 June 2020
Great and easy book to read, full of real examples from the author which is always better than pure theory.Plenty of examples on how to build the teams from scratch and how to encourage and build team/tribal culture which to me is one of the key activities to survive in the digital age.Very much recommend - i have now purchased 'The Art of avoiding a train wreck' -happy reading :)
My best holiday read of 2017!!Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 28 October 2018
I have had the pleasure to have known Em for a number of years and greatly respect her insight into working at scale with multiple agile teams. I was therefore, eager to read her book on creating a One Team Culture. Its tracks her real life experience in both Australia and China with practical steps. Not only was it my best holiday read last year but I now regularly reference the book in all my training courses. Moreover a relatively short book (which I like) and not a derge to read like many 'business' books.

Ordinary agile truisms...Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 5 August 2018
No insights...just a loooong superficial description of very banal concepts. Not recommended. Sorry.
