Her literary prowess is her supreme strengthReviewed in the United Kingdom on 5 September 2018
Far from ‘lacking literary prowess’ as described in a previous review, I find Frances Fyfield’s literary prowess to be her supreme strength. I love the poetry of her writing that calls a response from the heart

I have read Frances Fyfield for 18 years and have enjoyed all her books. I would recommend her books to anyone.

NOT the first in a series but well worth readingReviewed in the United States on 25 August 2014
First, this ISN'T the first in a series as one reviewer claimed. If they had read the book they would have realised that Bailey and Helen West had been together for some time, as the novel alludes to. Secondly, what they considered longeurs I found a fascinating insight into a relationship. Frances Fyfield is well known in the UK and is actually a criminal lawyer. The Helen West series are only part of her oeuvre and in many ways the least, although there is also a TV series with the delectable Amanda Burton. If you are looking for a whodunnit don't read Fyfield she is is more of a "why they dunnit" but if you like wit and psychological insight read anything by Fyfield.
