I was pleasd with the story and focus and also the neding. Part five was well written and enjoyable to read. Nitably the writer (Apollo) had gown up from the first book in this series and this was clearly shown.

I’ve read every single rick riordan book, and I rate them all 4 or 5 stars (depending on how much Percabeth and Solangelo there is.) Rick is legit the BEST author! If ur done reading all of The Trials of Apollo books, I’d recommend you to start reading Magnus Chase and the Kane Chronicles if you haven’t already! (They are both seriously underrated!)
Percabeth 4Eva peeps!
Xoxo
Keep calm and read Riordan!

now before you read this I just want you to think about all the amazing things in life, books are definitely one of them;) especially Rick Roidan books! I read all the Rick Roidan books in less then a year (I read alot!) and gods there amazing. From Egyptian to Roman to Greek and Norse, his books are amazing I don't expect any more from the best writer in the world (even better then J.K.Rowling). I would recommend this book to everyone and anyone. I love it. I hope that he writes some more!

Lester Papadopoulos !!!
Reviewed in India on 10 October 2020Verified Purchase
First Impression- Just finished the book. Waited so long for this. Bit disappointed at the beginning but the final few chapters make up for it.
Characters- Let me tell you 'Lester Papadopoulos' was never my choice for favorite hero but right after I finished this book, I realized he's up there with the others -- Percy, Nico, Annabeth, Grover, Jason, Piper, Leo, Frank, Hazel, Reyna, Thalia, Rachel, Luke, Will .. I'm going to miss them all. The final two books was more centered around Lester, his emotions, his struggles and his relation with others. Yes, Nico was allowed some lime light (given the fanbase he owns). I was a bit disappointed that Meg was sort of the first runner up to Lester. She lacked any major say in the final stand. Rachel had a decisive part as the Pythia. Will is also involved quite a bit. I loved all the dad son interactions b/w Apollo and Austin. Even Arrow of Dodona had a part to play. I didn't like Lu much. I thought she lacked conviction, a perfect backstory like the one we got for Zoe nightshade might have made her hero image convincing.
Plot- I'm not going to give away spoilers. The first few chapters dragged on. There were few repetitive boring iterations of how messed up Lester used to be (I happily skipped). We had enough of that rubbish ! Lester was a dummy but he had earned my respect ever since the tyrant's tomb. Apollo's encounter with Python is a bit underwhelming. I enjoyed all the funny parts in the Apollo-Nero encounter in the throne room. What I really enjoyed was how Riordan wrapped up story of all the 7 demigods from heroes of Olympus (even Jason makes an appearance).
Overall- Its a book worth reading if you want to feel at peace after 10 years of Percy Jackson. You'll feel like you've grown up just like Lester. However, I think tyrant's tomb is still my favorite in this series.(except perhaps the last few chapters)
Future-I guess we'll get to see Nico and Will in their journey to Tartarus. I was so glad when I read they're talking about rescuing BOB(in other words 'Iapetus'). Perhaps Bob will get to tell the stars Hi after all. I'm sure rick is done with all the others characters, we may get few cameos from our favorite heroes, other than that he wraps up their stories in this book. Besides there were some hints on a collaboration b/w diff Rick Riordan universes and some mentioning of Celtic Gods.
We'll see what he has in store for us. Already excited !!

Still crying
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 2 November 2020Verified Purchase
I turned to the last page and immediately started crying because I knew it was the end and these books have meant so so much to me. For the last I don’t know how many years there’s always been a new book in the Percy Jackson universe to look forward to, and it’s completely insane that that’s not necessarily true anymore.
Possibly a proper review to come but there are a lot of emotions right now so we’ll see

The Further Adventures of Lester and Meg
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 13 October 2020Verified Purchase
Lester (Apollo) and Meg having finished helping the clear up at Camp Jupiter are on their way back to Manhattan to find the last of the three Emperors, Nero.
Arriving at Camp Half Blood , only to find Me D in charge. During the train journey home, with a few problems and prophecy clips warnings indicating that they still have a job to do. A quick visit to Sally Jackson, meeting the baby sister to Percy Jackson, only to learn that he and Annabeth have gone to New Rome after finishing their education.
With Nero threatening the destruction of New York if Lester and Meg do not surrender themselves to him and the removal of Python from the sacred site of Delphi to be completed to restore the last of the Oracles. There are a couple of final battles to fight and a lesson to learn before all ends well.

Little bit disappointing
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 27 October 2020Verified Purchase
I was really looking forward to reading this but I was a bit disappointed by it. It felt rushed and the plot development was not as good as usual. Introducing a whole new type of creature/character which pretty much saved the day was too much deus ex machina even for these books. I’ll read it again in a while to see if I like it better but at the moment I feel it was a sadly disappointing end to a really great series.
