Product Description

Sometimes a single touch is enough to change everything. Physical or emotional, a touch can tilt the world on its axis and shift your entire life. It can lead to hell, or it can lead to paradise, but things will never be the same...

Tudor has big plans for New York City.
Ditch his homophobic colleague. See a musical. Definitely check out the go-go boys.
Meeting one Phantom on Grindr wasn't in the script.
Tudor gets caught up in a whirlwind when his favorite musical character steps off the stage and into his life.

Hauled to work in Hawaii, Tudor has little time to enjoy the island paradise.
His obnoxious friend Radu has it much easier, using his free time to set Tudor up, dangling a willing Hawaiian beauty in front of him.
Having been burned by long-distance relationships before, Tudor stubbornly resists Kahoni's advances.
But can Tudor be worn down enough to enjoy a touch of paradise?

A moody and angry Tudor follows his friend, Radu, to the airport to pick up a client.
Despite Radu's efforts, he's still sulking over his boyfriend, Kahoni, not being able to fly over for his birthday.
But the airport only opens up the door to a stream of steamy surprises for Tudor. Will his mood improve?

Radu has always joked with Tudor about his friend's gay rubbing off on him. Neither of them has taken that joke seriously until Radu's meltdown and crazy confession: Radu thinks he might be gay.
Despite Radu's insistence that Tudor's gayness has helped him figure out his own, there's more to that story of discovery. Charismatic, sexy, and all around amazing Marius, the man Radu has been crushing on for months, pushed the loud-mouth, offensive Radu into exploring who he truly is.
Figuring out he wasn't all that straight is the easy part. Getting enough courage to talk to Marius, that's a whole different challenge, as Radu seems to turn into a stuttering idiot around Marius. Will Radu learn to be confident enough to pursue Marius? Or will Marius act faster and challenge the confused Radu too soon?

I do not give a storyline away when I review a book, there is a blurb that the author has shared and that should interest you in this book, This was an interesting change of pace for my usual reading. I enjoyed watching Tudor on his quest for love. I became entranced with the Romanian inferences and was imagining heavy accents that didn't seem to be in the book (strangely). It was an interesting read and the characters are very well developed. Tudor's "frenemy" Radu is rather entertaining.

5.0 out of 5 stars Touches 2 April 2017
By Sharon - Published on

I received an ARC of this book for a review. Tudor is the top IT person in his company, Radu is the sales rep. They are sent all over the world as a tag team to put out tech fires and sell more services. There are four scenes in Touches. Each tells how Tudor and Radu have the other's back-- whether it's love or heartbreak. The first three scenes are Tudor's love story intertwined with Radu's voyage of self-discovery. The things they get up to are very funny, especially in the clubs. This book is well written. A fun read with a happy ever after. I liked this book.

I actually enjoyed the 4 stories a lot. The characters are well-developed and the story easy to follow. A perfect, unpretentious little book, great to add to your weekend to-read list.

4.0 out of 5 stars It’s definitely a great ride! 3 April 2017

As Alina herself says “what makes a good story is the fact that it touches people” and she does it well in her short story collection.

Just like in life, there’s a bit of everything in Touches – fun, anxiety, friendship, kink 😉 and above all – lots of love. Between the stress of corporate environment (so well described that even those who never were in such would feel it perfectly), the travelling to intriguing places, Tudor’s discoveries of different kinds of love and Radu’s shenanigans, there’s not a minute of boredom.

Comments on life and love are rife, and smartly incorporated into the whole so you don’t get the feeling that you just read the same old formulaic romance but something a lot worthier.

The structure of the book is quite appealing. Different stories following the same heroes show the best highlights of their life, without the unnecessary ‘fillers’, giving us the chance to get to know them, understand them, and love them. I still hope that Alina might revisit them all at some point.

It’s definitely a great ride!

5.0 out of 5 stars There is no replacement for a strong, deep friendship 4 April 2017
By SKM - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
I loved this compilation of stories that told more than one kind of love story. Tudor's journey through love lost and gained was told very artfully with no lack of emotion in the telling. And I thoroughly enjoyed how Radu eventually discovered himself and his own happy ending. But the story that I think is almost as, if not more important than, Tudor and Radu finding their respective true loves, is the journey of platonic love that Tudor and Radu took from page one to the last word in the book. I felt like I was on that quest with them, going from outright contempt, to grudging understanding, to unabashed caring. I never thought at the beginning of the book that I would find Radu to be so endearing by the end. This is definitely a story collection to keep and read again and again!

5.0 out of 5 stars Touching. 31 March 2017
By Alina Hart - Published on

I really enjoyed this collection of short stories; why you ask? Because these short stories are small fragments of a larger 'whole' that make up Tudor's love story. From a one night stand in New York, to finding new love in Hawaii, and then figuring out how to handle the distance between said lovers. Oh, and a nice side story of a certain best friend who had been denying true identity for years, only to take some encouragement from a close friend based off of his freedom of self and finally being able to go for what he's wanted, deep down for a while.
These stories, are really just a story, broken up into four parts. All beautifully connected. 'Touches' is most certainly touching and recommended.
I was given a free copy of 'Touches' from the author and have willingly written an honest, and unbiased review.
