Second Favorite David Morrell Book.
3 September 2018 - Published on Amazon.com
Probably my second favorite book of David Morrells. This does include two separate versions of the book, I preferred the original over the shrunk. The story really flows well, and I thought it was pretty scary. Good read if you like Morrells work and horror books.

There is a reason why this book is listed as one of the top 100 horror books ever written. The story is gripping, and fast paced. This is the revised edition so be advised if your looking for the original copy. I am curious as to the differences, so I may end up ordering the original!

Way too long with very little payoff

A very dissatisfying read. It was long but seemed to be going somewhere. In the end it did not go anywhere.
Reader Let Down

I love David Morrell and have read just about all his books. I couldn't put this one down. He develops the characters, the setting, and the history for a wonderful story. I devoured each page, anxious to get to the next one... When I reached the ending I was greatly disappointed. There were so many questions left unanswered. It was like David Morrell wrote 99% of the book, then put it aside and some stranger picked it up and scribbled a quick end so he could get it to the publisher. I felt cheated out of a proper ending to this otherwise great read. David Morrell should have spent time writing a worthy ending instead of writing the new introduction at the beginning. I was disappointed.
"Things that go bump in the night"!

I bought this on a recommendation, thinking it was a scary-monster-gonna-get-ya book. It WAS!! Wow! The character development was a little weak, some things didn't make a lot of sense, but it was spine-tingling, none-the-less. I LOVE books to scare you, and this one was pretty good! I did enjoy it!
