Luke has been working as many shifts as he can so that he can qualify in all areas needed in their Station! When a fellow paramedic is injured, he is assigned to work with Quinn, though he’s not sure how he will manage especially as he is attracted to her:) Quinn takes lead of their ambulance when her partner of five years is injured and she has been mentoring Luke so it should go smoothly. Unfortunately, when they are kidnapped at gunpoint on their first shift together and forced to work on someone who is close to dying, they are unsure if they will get out of their predicament alive! This also starts a dominoe effect on everyone including Station Seventeen. This book has everything I look for in a book - great storyline and characters, suspense, action and romance:) A must read!

This is the third installment to “A Station Seventeen” Series that I have read and it surely did not disappoint. Ms. Kincaid has the uncanny ability to develop characters that are relatable and lovable which is the recipe for a good romance novel. In addition, we have the suspense factor which heightens the interest level in the story. Quinn and Luke’s relationship sizzles as the story unfolds. I enjoyed the pure love and caring that evolved and the parallel of meeting each other’s emotional as well as physical needs, simultaneously. Ms. Kincaid writes stellar love scenes with so much passion and heart that it is unmatched by most writers in the genre.
The characters in the RFD and RPD give readers warm, gratifying feelings as they are truly genuine, selfless, hard working, and credible individuals fighting for justice and showing support for one another.
I find the gang mentality intriguing because I always have to ask myself what fuels people to choose the dark side of life inflicting pain and death in order to feel empowered. In previous novels dealing with the subject matter of gangs, at its very core there underlies individuals with a tragic past that scarred them so deeply that hatred and lack of empathy becomes the driving force to achieve the ultimate goal of control, power and wealth. In this novel “Ice” continued the family legacy of The Vipers as a business venture. Interesting take!
What a dilemma unfolds! I stopped to ask myself what I would do if I had the misfortune of being threatened by a ruthless gang member. There is no easy decision, that’s for sure. Ms. Kincaid handled this dilemma well in the story.
I want to address the medical aspect of this novel. I am a former intensive care nurse and can accept the sometimes far-fetched scenario that are created in emergency situations. That being said, it bothered me that the described blood pressure was improperly stated. The first number is ALWAYS greater than the second. It was misstated twice in the first part of the book. I like to read accurately stated facts.
The conclusion was satisfying and the author added a little twist as the heart pounding final drmatic scene unfolded. Well played Ms. Kincaid!!!!
All in all this is a great series and I do recommend it to readers of romantic suspense novels. Looking forward to Gamble’s story.

This is the story of Luke & Quinn. Luke has been Station Seventeen's firefighter rookie for the last seven months. He is also an EMT as of six weeks ago. He did that to conquer his fear of blood. Quinn is a paramedic at Station Seventeen. She has been helping Luke with that. She is also attracted to him. She loves taking care of people, but who ever takes care of her? Luke is attracted to her, to the point of distraction. They are thrown together working on the same rig. Bad things, one after another, happen to them. It is non-stop. I can't say enough how good this book was, reading it and getting involved emotionally with every aspect of it. So looking forward to the next book in this series.

*USA Today bestselling author Kimberly Kincaid has produced another winner in her blockbuster hit series. Combined with heat, heart and humor, this romantic suspense will be impossible to put down from the very first page to the shocking conclusion!...(18+)...He was Station Seventeen's rookie for the past seven months, and firefighter Luke Slater knows his fire and EMS training will be both rigorous and risky, and the last thing he expected was to partner up with the one woman he vowed to keep at arms length. He has no interest in letting the sweet and sexy paramedic shatter his reserve or his control he lived by for so many years, and creating a distance was the best course of action. No, the true reason was Luke was attracted to her from the moment he'd first locked eyes on her, and he didn't just like Quinn as a casual friend, a good co-workers kind of way, but the truth was, he was finding it difficult keeping those feelings at bay. But the need for composure becomes the need to survive when they find themselves in the crosshairs of a violent gang leader on their first shift together. She had an one-sided crush on Luke who was sexy as strong and silent as sin,but paramedic Quinn Copeland was stone-cold serious about taking care of people, and her Station teammates aren't just her friends, but her family. She'd do just about anything to keep them safe including her reluctant and gorgeous partner who not only was impossible to read, but who looked wickedly sexy in his turnout gear. As the passion between Luke and Quinn goes from a slow burn to overflowing flames, they find themselves in danger not only in the firehouse, but in theIr personal lives to those they loved most in the world. Can they outwit a cold-blooded killer and confront the demons that could cost them everything? Or are they in too deep?.....

Kimberly Kincaid just about scared the pants off me in several places in In Too Deep, but I don't mind leaving them off if the sex is going to be that D@MN HOT!!
Luke and Quinn are burning up the pages from the first paragraph going all out to ignore their attraction especially after Ice threatens Luke's family and everyone at Station Seventeen after they fail to save his friends brother.
The action in this book is non-stop and reminds me exactly why I love Kincaids writing so much!! I'm waiting on pins and needles to finally get to Garza's story, it's going to be PHENOMENAL!

The crew from Station Seventeen are back and Kimberly Kincaid delivers one hell of a ride again. One that will leave you breathless, hot and bothered and creating a draft from turning the pages so quick. This book was flipping fantastic, I loved it so hard.
Are you ready for rookie Luke Slater and paramedic Quinn Copeland’s story? Who are we kidding of course you are. Trust me dear reader this is a book you don’t want to miss.
I will admit to letting out a shriek when it was announced that this was the main couple for this book. Going in, I was excited just because it was a Station Seventeen book, but what I found was yet another amazing read that had me falling even more head over heels for this crew and this authors writing.
I was totally hooked from the first pages with its light banter that lulled you into thinking it was going to be a completely different type of book. Then bam, the action starts and the holding your breath begins and doesn’t let go till the end when you turn the last page with a satisfied sigh because the author has delivered yet another stellar book. Be forewarned, there are a couple of parts in this book where I was literally holding my breath till the next passage played out. It’s so, so worth the risk of passing out though.
Kimberly Kincaid has given us the reader a book that has the perfect blend of humour, suspense, romance, action and character building that is not only perfect for series reader but newbies to Station Seventeen.
Not to mention that the author can write one hell of a bad guy. Just wait till you meet Ice, the bad guy of this book. I will not say more about him other than he still gives me chills thinking about him.
One of my favourite things about this book was how we get to see Quinn and Luke open up and realise that you don’t have to keep everything to yourself. There is one very small line in the book that Quinn utters, that no kidding just about broke my heart. “I’m scared”. THAT was the line when I knew I was totally lost over this couple and their story.
I loved seeing Quinn and Luke break the shells around their hearts and to let someone in. The fact that they had smoking hot chemistry only made it better. And okay, way hotter when they decide to give into that chemistry. But that said, while they are hot together, their connection is so deep that when they trust the other they truly trust. It really shows in the tender scenes and will make you fall harder for this couple as they do the same.
For fans of the series and really why aren’t you? Yes, you get to see the rest of the crew from Station Seventeen and the Intelligence Unit. It’s almost like visiting family again. Plus we also get to meet Luke’s family whom I absolutely loved.
To be really honest, the biggest reason I love this book and the series is because it perfectly blends everything I love in romantic suspense with a heaping dose of family and ALWAYS leaves me thinking about the book at odd times long after I finish it. This was no different and I for one can’t wait for it to happen again with the next book.
