I've purchased Toms from DSW and bought these on good faith via Amazon. It was winter, I didn't try them until spring, not expecting an issue. I know, I should've tried them on, but just didn't think I needed to. They fit funny. All (4) Toms I bought via Amz. fit funny. I thought that was weird, and maybe it was me. So I gave it a few days/tries. Then Googled Toms/Knock-offs. Realized that's what I bought.
To be certain, I ordered duplicates from Zappos. Those fit perfectly. They even look like the DSW pairs.
Now I see the authentic "tells". Google it.
I contacted Amazon, and was denied returns, which I certainly understand because of the long time lag. But I wasn't even offered a replacement at least.
So - BUYER BEWARE.
I will not buy shoes on Amazon again, on principle. I truly understand the time lag issue, but I've been a long time customer with very few returns.
BE CAREFUL WHEN PURCHASING TOMS ON AMAZON. I will leave this review on all (4) pairs that I bought. THESE ARE FAKE TOMS AND DO NOT FIT. They are short, stiff, and the lettering is different. Grrrrrrrr.
By the way, my daughter experienced the same thing but because she wanted to wear them as slippers, she noticed immediately and was able to exchange. There was definitely a difference in the new pair she received.
Also, side note - I don't know which box/from which vender - but one had dried mouse poo. I just shook it out, thinking that "things happen". So you see, I'm not in the habit of complaining about Amazon purchases. I'm just furious I spent this money on fake goods. But I guess this is part of the consequence of not shopping locally...?
I gave Amz. ample opportunity to make this right before writing this review.
