To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I bought this because I'm teaching myself to paint with watercolors and these images are a great way to learn. To my surprise, in addition to the lovely images are notes about some of the products and design elements that are found in the painted stores, giving you a glimpse into Japanese culture. What a delightful addition to an already lovely book. Highly recommended. Oh, and the text is in both English and Japanese, and the book opens left to right.
The language was both Nihongo and English. The illustrations were just so beautiful with some history written about the front stores that inspired Mateuz U. I bought another copy for my niece as a Christmas present. I can’t wait for Tokyo at Night to come out this April.
