"I highly recommend Tinkerlab to any parent with young children! I read the book in one sitting (it was that well written) but know I will be referring back to it for years as I encourage my own daughters' tinkering, experimenting, and creative development."--Jean V'ant Hul, author of The Artful Parent "I love Tinkerlab! This book is a glorious invitation for wonder and delight. The teacher in me respects the approach to creativity, process, and self-directed exploration. The mom in me is charmed by the easy-access of materials and projects. Fun! Fun! Fun!"--Lynn Brunelle, author of Pop Bottle Science "Being playful and creative is such a vital necessity in today's world! As an arts educator and parent of a curious four-year-old, I greatly value and embrace the 'tinkering mindset&a" --This text refers to the paperback edition.

Lots of lovely ideas for activities for childrenReviewed in the United Kingdom on 11 January 2017
This is a great book with lots of ideas for activities for young children. It would have got a 5 star review, however it is an American book, so you have to translate some of the quantities from 'cups' to 'ml' etc. There are also some items that you can't buy in the UK any more such as Borax, which are used in several of the experiments (although you can probably find replacements to use instead, but it's not as easy as just following the instructions).
