This stand is a breeze to put together or taken apart. It looks very nice and very practical to use. It is seasonably priced. It came a little bit beat up in one corner but I'm o.k with it. I use it to keep my soprano size Uke. It fits really nicely and there is a space of about 4-5mm left when Uke is in the stand. Uke does not touch the base, that was my concern before I bought it. I put up the video just to show how it is! I like it.
+ brilliant, simplistic efficient geometric design - two identical halves w/ mating slots in opposite locations + inexpensive + concise fit, breaks down/portable - TINY so anything bigger than a concert sized uke might not fit or could be very tippy; wish they offered a larger SIZE option. - cradle / region that house the lower bout of the instrument is curved, whereas it should be FLAT or at least less curved so it makes more contact w/ the instrument, instead of at only two points along the curve. - MATERIALS: particle board or MDF w/ fake wood contact paper - I'd prefer a solid color or real wood veneer, & might modify mine. The PSA / adhesive padding repeatedly has come loose, and doesn't adhere well to the porous particle board. + could easily be colored w/ contact paper, or by sanding the surface and priming/painting
This guitar support looks better that a plastic model sitting in my main living room. The Uke and Mandolin lean back quiet a bit and appear that it would tip backwards if gently shoved but it's stable enough. I actually bought this to get dimensions and closer look to build my own for other instruments I have. I will probably modify the design somewhat to satisfy my requirements.
I love this. Needed a place to put my uke. It fits great, doesn't fall over or anything, even when my cat walks by it lol. The part where the uke sits is pretty cushy, so I don't have to worry about scratches.
