I have a thing for signed books, especially poetry books, so when I saw that Jay Long had signed copies of Timeless Chatter Between the Heart and Mind available on his site I had to buy one, and I am so pleased that I did.

I’ve been a fan of Jay’s since I was introduced to his poetry page by a mutual friend over a year ago now, he writes heartache and hope, love and loss, inspiration and desperation all so effortlessly that you just know the man has lived each word he has written, and Timeless Chatter is ripe with his wisdom.

Readers will connect with almost every piece in this book, whether they have lived with pain or hope, love or loss, Timeless Chatter has something for everyone, and Jay leaves little room for regret in his work, and he leaves the reader feeling that they too should have little room for regret in their lives, everything is but a lesson, and wisdom can be gained from those lessons, and most definitely from this book.

Jay Long is a true wordsmith at the top of his craft, and I would recommend this book to everyone, be they poetry lovers or not, this is a book that will impress even the hardest cynics and most cynical critics.

I can’t wait to see what Jay Long brings out next.

Timeless Chatter Between the Heart and Mind

Success...

When an artist can evoke raw emotion, whether it be the targeted response intended, or otherwise, the artist has unquestionably acquired success. Merriam-Webster defines success as "the favorable or prosperous termination of attempts or endeavors; the accomplishment of one's goals."

I chose to write my review spontaneously after reading, in its entirety, "Timeless Chatter Between the Heart and Mind", the artistry which is Author Jay Long. I am of the opinion that initial interpretation often conveys the most genuine, and raw responses to linguistic, visual, and lyrical art.
Throughout his writings, his talent is beautifully obvious in his style of expression. Jay has the amazing ability to artfully convey feelings we experience during life's victories and defeats, love and loss, confidence and uncertainty, while giving these feelings a life of their own.

Without hesitation, I highly recommend this enduring compilation of poetry and prose, regardless of one's personal life circumstances, whether past or present , wholly positive, or periodically tarnished.
"Timeless Chatter Between the Heart and Mind" holds within it's pages, the comfort of relalatability and kinship.

Mastery...

My definition of mastery is a measure of achievement that is limitless, without bounds and a continual and permanent status. Merriam-Webster defines mastery as, "a skill or knowledge that makes one master of a subject".
In terms of invitation to open interpretation of such art form, very few have attained such desired status; Jay Long is one of the few.
