If you’re looking for a straight play-by-play diatribe of life and times of a movie star, hold up; you’re about to get a delightful surprise. Insightful, introspective, provocative, heartfelt and wonderfully written, this is essential reading for anyone with a connection to Parkinson’s. Courageously told, it’s taught me a heck of a lot more than I ever expected.

Having read other Micheal J Fox autobiographical books, this follows the same style. His life is full and he is able to capture the reader and bring them along with him on his journey through life and the impact of Parkinsons on that journey. It is how he deals with his illness and at times use it to his advantage which is the best feature of his book. Can't wait for the next chapter in his extraordinary life.

A inspiration to everyone who thinks they have a problem. A lesson on how to enjoy the life you have been given and not waste it on mourning what you can never have.

A very honest account of Michael J Fox's life with Parkinson.
TOP 50 REVIEWER
When you think of Michael J Fox what do you think of? For me, a child of the 80's it is Alex P Keaton in Family Ties, Marty McFly in the Back To the Future films and Scott Howard in Teen Wolf. He is an actor that I have always admired and loved to watch anything that he is involved in.
At age 29, Michael was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease and his life changed forever. In this book he talks about his struggles with the disease as he gets older. He is an incredibly optimistic man but some of the things that he has been through in his life would get anybody down. On top of the PD he also had a tumor removed from his spine and has recovered from many bad falls where he has broken bones.
He is a family man, married for more than 30 years to Tracy Pollan and has 4 kids who are his world. His work with the Michael J Fox Foundation, raising money for Parkinson's research is also a big part of his life. He talks about his limitations, what he can do, and that he never gives up. And he is not at all bitter. His humour and outlook on life is inspiring, what a strong man.
I loved reading about his friendship with one of my favourite writers, Harlan Coben, and his attempts to play golf. Learning his thoughts on various film and TV roles that he has played was another interesting part of this book.
I loved this book, it was inspiring and motivational. At 59, he has no plans to slow down his life or career - good for him.

Michael J Fox rocks!

This was a lovely, sad, funny and well written book. I haven’t read Michael’s other books but this one resonated strongly with me as my man has PD and has gone through so many similar trials as Michael.
What a cruel disease it is, especially to attack Michael so young. I remember him so active in his films and although it must have been torture to have to curtail his active film life he has dealt with it stoically with the support of his wonderful family and friends.
Michael is a lovely, courageous and funny with a “glass half full” attitude despite the struggles he has had to overcome.
He is a true hero

I’m sure many of us are huge fans of Michael J. Fox. The Back to the Future films alone were a big part of my life when growing up, as were many of his other films. I remember being very saddened when I heard the news that he had been diagnosed with young set Parkinson’s disease. Whilst he has done the odd cameo as well as some other television work, I have to admit I haven’t really kept up to date with what or how he had been doing and thought this book would be a great way to do so.
For some reason even though I had read the blurb for the book, I had gone in with expectations that it would be like many celebrity books, filled with images as well as their whole background. This one isn’t like that. Having not read any of Michael’s other books that would probably have offered me this insight, I do feel like I have missed out a bit as apart from seeing him in films, I know very little about the man himself. Once I got over the disappointment through my own fault, I enjoyed this book for exactly what it is supposed to be. An insight into one mans life, living with a life changing disease.
Even though my aunt, who was a lot older than Michael, suffered and died from the same illness, I don’t really know much about it or understand it. I learned so much from Michael opening up about his day to day life and how, what many of us take for granted, is a constant struggle for him. Trying to co ordinate simple things like walking and using your phone at the same time. This really is an eye opener. Not only is he having to deal with ongoing treatment and changes in his life with Parkinson’s but he also shares about a tumour that had to be operated on, on his spine.
No Time Like The Future is a very deep and personal account of Michael J. Fox’s own thoughts and feelings. It moved me to tears in quite a few places at what he has had to over come and deal with in his life. Through his foundation, him and others do so much in the fight to find a cure for Parkinson’s and whilst it is a very heartfelt read, it was also uplifting and offers hope. Highly recommended.

A brilliant account of everyday life and struggles, optimism and determination. Loved every page. Having read all three of his books, it's given me a deeper insight into the daily struggles of PD and how, having a strong family network is so important. Great man, great book

I had read Fox's first autobiography year's ago when he was in the earlier stages of PD. But now thirty years on I understand more about his fight . It humbling to read his honest account of his he has had to fight back do.many times. But it's not a sad book and it's not self centred...It just honest and at times funny.
Brilliant book from start to finish and I am now thinking that we all need a turtle tattoo.
