Product Description

Haunted by his past, Lincoln Ryan abandoned his life in Australia. Retreating halfway around the world to the town of Newsham, he found a place as remote and cold as his heart had become. It suited him perfectly—for a while.

When a fateful event forces him to help out local bar owner, Lily Colbert, Linc finds his life of solitude flooded with the light and hope of one stubborn woman. Slowly his walls begin to crumble as he lets the enigmatic Lily in. But when Linc and Lily dance perilously close to the ‘L’ word, his secrets re-emerge, rocking him to the core as he tries once again to outrun his past.

Unfortunately, the past always seems to follow people around, and for Linc, hiding may not be an option anymore. Not when he has Lily. Not when he might finally have a future….

Till There Was You is the debut novel by Wade Anderson, co-written with his wife, Lilliana Anderson (author of Drawn and 47 Things).

What a beautiful but at times heartbreaking story is Till There Was You.

I have previously read a lot of Lilliana Anderson's work and adored them. This is the first collaboration between husband and wife team of Wade and Lilliana Anderson, and I hope there will be more in the future.

Linc's story is not a pretty one. Then again, with what Ms Anderson has written in the past, I was not expecting flowers and smiles!

But when he finally, and I mean finally opens up to the people in small town Newsham, in particular bar owner Lily, my heart began to hope for him.

I loved the banter between Linc and Lily, the push/pull of emotions as they both come to terms with their feelings for each other.

There are some other great characters that really filled out Linc and Lily's story well.

This is so much more than just a love story. It is a story of hope. Of overcoming loss. To coming alive again.

I really enjoyed Till There Was You, and I can't wait to see what Wade and Lilliana bring us next.

Till There Was You is the first book written by husband and wife writing team Wade and Lilliana Anderson. I have previously read several of Lilliana’s books which I have enjoyed….. This book had a beautiful but heartbreaking story….. This story is about Lincoln Ryan, he’s had a really tough life in Australia that he’s left behind…. He is literally haunted by his past. He’s now living in house in the town of Newsham , which is half way around the world from Australia, in a house that is owned by the mother of one of his friends…..

Lily Colbert, lives in Newsham and owns the the local Bar…. There is problems at the bar one night and Linc stands in and helps out…. Which causes him to be in trouble with the law and spend the night behind bars….. Linc likes he’s quiet solitude life he lives….. but he suddenly cant stop thinking about Lily……. The books follows the story of these two as they butt heads…… both have secrets which they find it hard to reveal…… when these secrets come out will it cause them problems and make them keep away from each other…… or will it draw them together????? There are some heartbreaking twists and turns in this book……. It was a really great one…… I certainly look forward to reading more from this writing duo…..

To begin with I must congratulate Wade Anderson, on his debut as an author. Man, you hit the hammer right on the nail with this one. Writing as a co-author, with his wife Lilliana Anderson, who in her own right, is a wonderful author.

This is a story that will pull at your heartstrings and make you go for the tissues on more than one occasion. A broken man, no longer wanting to love or be loved and a woman looking for that one special man to love.

Lincoln (Linc) Ryan is ex-military, who has runaway to escape the tragedies that have befallen him. He leaves his native Australia and ends up landing in a quiet country town called Newsham. Here he lives a quiet, solitude life in a cabin outside of the general township. That all changes when he saves the local bar owner and her employee on New Year's Eve.

Lily Colbert, local bar owner, sheriff's sister and much loved resident of Newsham. She has noticed Linc about town but has never really had any contact with him at all - that is all about to change. Lily is not backward in coming forward - she speaks what she thinks and that's just what I loved about her.

The relationship between Linc and Lily is not an easy one to begin with. There is frustration, silence, avoidance, desire, need and finally understanding. I love the way these two characters are written. The constant watching of each other, their back and foward stirring (kidding around) and their obvious desire for each other. Matt, Lily's brother, does not help with their relationship - meddling does not sum up just how far he goes to ensure that his little sister is making the right decision. If he were my brother, I would have killed him for his interference. But it is a friend from the past who steers Linc in the right direction, forces him to come to terms with his past and with his future.

A brilliant story, that I will no doubt read over many times. Fully deserves the FIVE STAR rating that I am giving it.

Once again congratulations Wade and Lilliana on writing such a beautiful touching story.

I have to say what an amazing job was done on this book. I cried and I laughed and then I loved.

I could not put it down. Love and stress came together in this story with forgiveness on the side.

Please read this book to understand why I fell in love with it.

Great job Lillian and Wade!

I hope there is another book about Matt!

I love all Mrs. Lilliana Anderson's books, so when I heard that she will be helping her husband, Wade Anderson in his First book, I jumped in with both feet.

What an amazing and beautiful story. You make me laugh with Lily sarcastic humor. And stubbornness. You broke my heart couple of times, thru out the story but you also mended, very well. Matt fiercely loves for his sister, is mesmerizing.

I really love Lincoln story, very hard to sometimes understand, what our military personnel goes thru, but Thanks for enlightening us. Glad that Lily was his light at the end of the tunnel.

Can't wait to see, what else, this new author has in store for us. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!💖

*** Gifted in exchange for an honest review***

So I started this book then had to stop to catch up on the book I was supposed to read. But I was glad to get back to him - Linc - Yes Lincoln Ryan had already crept into my heart, he is hiding, from pain and from life. when his quiet life is interrupted when he has to step up and save local bar owner Lily.

Lily Colbert, is a strong stubborn lady who doesn't want to give up on the feelings that Linc stirs in her.

Lincoln has kept his heart closed off, so much so that he didn't even name his dog - I found this really heartbreaking, that he was so lost, but Lily stubbornly doesn't give up, and when his dog is hurt and Lily helps him, she slowly leads him into the light.

Will she manage to drag him out of the abyss of pain and loss, or will he push her away like he did his family and friends...

This was a story was about two believable characters, to which events in life took loved ones away from them, For Lincoln it left him bereft and locked in misery, then there are those who refuse to let the darkness win, that are brave and strong and continue to let people into their hearts - that is Lily. And sometimes fate brings them together and gives them a second chance, and that is the message in this book, it was also easy to get engaged with the characters involved, and also the supporting characters, such as Lily's brother who was a typical interfering older brother, but my favourite supporting character was Tim the old vet.

This was the first collaboration between Liliana and Wade and I think they did a great job.
