Terrific thriller from Sean Black and Steve Savile. This is a great entry into the enigmatic Byron Tibor series. Deeply dark and violent, set in an isolated town with hired killers after a young woman, this tale captivates all the way through. Tibor is an interesting addition to the genre and Winter's Rage gives us enough about his back ground to want to know more and little about his abilities to make you want to find out about him.
Elements of High Noon , Rambo and the old west are weaved together in this. Loved it.

Yet another Reacher copy....
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 29 July 2019Verified Purchase
It started off ok.....with some good descriptions of small mountain town life...and when it becomes snowbound as the book progresses this is good too. But it’s so predictable. A good, pleasant stranger with a past.....then three stereotype bad guys start doing their thing so he’s got to act. It could be a Clint Eastwood movie. Of course the hero is ex special forces with incredible athleticism and expertise with any weapon. A slight variation is the viciousness of the bad guys and their use of torture....but...the hero is quite partial to it too. All in all just another Reacher copy with mediocre writers jumping on the bandwagon and flooding the genre with substandard stuff.

Absolutely riveting ..I just loved it.Byron Tibor ..an ex goverment modified agent..Hes a cold unfeeling killer with a heart.Three vicious nasty men in a small town hunting for a woman and kids...What a plot. The tension starts early on and just gets stronger. There is so much description and build up about the cold and snow...I felt the freezing cold numb me ...
Although i was sitting in the sun when I read this book. There is a really good amount of torture too..Excellent read.

Its fast paced , well written and as we used to call them "a real page turner" Byron Tibor is an unusual character . I look forward to the 4th in the series. Genuine entertainment in reading.
