“I am afraid to die of madness
This infinity is destroying my sanity
And I can’t stay in it anymore”
At first glance, one may think this is just a simple book of poems. But looking deeper, one finds this is creatively, much more than this. There is a thread that seems to run through that connects the poems together, whether its the elements such as fire, wind, or rain to life reflections of surrounding observations. These all will cause the reader to ponder and analyze the thoughts written. I personally discovered that it is not a book to be rushed, but to breathe in and contemplate. What at times reads as dark musings, I found to be bright and sunny with a glimpse of gray. Powerful is not a strong enough word to describe the effects this book had on me. At times, there is a roller coaster of a ride with a powerful, thoughtful poem to a weaker, not so awe-inspiring one. Nevertheless, I found this not to be a bad thing. I found I liked this especially after an intense, thought-provoking poem, I needed to come down to something not so mind-blowing intense, yet still compelling. Readers will find this as an awesome opportunity to pause and reflect. Fresh, inspiring, captivating and powerful taking the readers beyond the confines of their own subconscious mind.
Recommend? A resounding yes! Poetry lovers will enjoy the intense emotional ride. However, even those who normally don’t partake of the usual fluff poetry will find this an irresistible gripping collection of thoughts. A truly must read.
