Product Description

A week into his thirty day challenge, Gavin has unexpectedly found himself interested in two women he's met through the SwipeDate app. As he continues with his best friend Bobby's twenty-five thousand dollar proposition, he finds himself drawn to both Sami and Meghan, each unique and intriguing in her own way. While interest grows with the two of them, he's becoming increasingly annoyed by the daily first dates, and the disruption they've brought to his life.

Despite the annoyance, Gavin finally sees progress in his recovery from mental illness and discovers a hope he hasn't felt in years. An unexpected run-in with his past will test this newfound hope and threaten to crush the foundation he's worked so hard to build. Can Gavin find the balance he yearns for, and a woman to love, while the circumstances he's struggling with are still so fragile and raw?

5.0 out of 5 stars BT Urruela truly hits the mark with Thirty Days: Part Two. 9 May 2017
By Maggie Jane Schuler - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
The second installment of Gavin Mazzerelli's swipe dating adventure continues as BT Urruela truly hits the mark with Thirty Days: Part Two. Gavin struggles with depression opening up some self-destructive coping methods. He's been working on restructuring his mental game and learning to appreciate life again. His good friend Bobby challenges him to thirty days of swipe dating to get him back out and enjoying life again. The struggling writer is desperate for money and inspiration making this a win-win for him. What he doesn't filter into the equation is he might actually meet someone he wants to explore further. This is where the heart and head of Gavin begin to separate and he digs deep into what he wants versus what he needs. Unfortunately, he may just be too late in figuring himself out before the bubble bursts.

BT Urruela sprinkles a plethora of allusionary references, humor, wit, and realism throughout Thirty Days: Part Two that the story simply unfolds without a hitch. He also is the master of twists of fate and Catch 22's. His juxtaposition between Sami and Megan is well plotted and only helps to perpetuate the dynamic development of Gavin through his mental journal back into writing and life itself. Gavin is demonstrating change over time, slowly climbing his way to change but in Urruela style he makes ever gain painstakingly tough and well earned along the way. While this is a cliffhanger, just like part one, Urruela leaves his readers thirsty for the final installment.

***Please note this is book two and is not a standalone.
5.0 out of 5 stars Dating... Awkward,Funny and Exciting 10 May 2017

You never know how dating will go, we all have our druthers over it and often wonder if it's all worth it. Of course it is, we all need to socialize in some sort of setting, get out of our heads and see what's out there. You just never know when you might meet that one person that will intrigue you just enough to push you past the first date awkward moments. Gavin is definitely not without his issues, but they aren't really dating issue per say, more of a hey I'm not good enough in my head issues. He's a great guy and needed to be pushed to socialize outside his head. Thirty Days: Part One was great, it set the precedence of what's to come, however, can we really expect whats to come? I was laughing so hard in the first chapters I thought I would bust a gut, Gavin's sense of humor is dry but cutting and very creative. The banter between him and Bobby is ridiculous, I couldn't get enough. That first scene with Meagan was hilarious, OMG, it was epic. My heart goes out to Gavin for so many reasons, but I think this challenge has been a good step for him, with other things coupled along with it; new found feelings, seeing his ex for the first time, great friends and a grandmother he truly adores and lets not forget the help of his therapist. But when you aren't ready to tell the truth, you have to wonder what happens next. Great ending, sets you up and gets you thinking.
5.0 out of 5 stars Enlightening! 10 May 2017

What to say about this book.......when authors use a story like this and allow us even a small view into their minds, hearts and soul, you sit up and take notice. Gavin's challenge to date 30 women in thirty days begins to take it's toll on his mind and his heart. He begins to learn so much more about himself and we as readers begin to learn so much more about what makes Gavin tick. He finds himself enthralled by not one but two women, but in order to win the challenge he must continue to date random women each day. While he knows he should be honest with these two, he chooses not to. Will this decision come back to haunt him? His interactions with Bobby, his therapist, Megan, his grandmother, Sami and yes even the dreaded ex are funny, heartwarming, uplifting, frustrating and completely enlightening. Will Gavin learn to let go of the past and move forward with his life? Or will his mental illness continue to derail all of his relationships? Only time will tell. B.T. Urruela has written a story that is a window into his mind, heart and soul. I see so much of the author in this book and can't wait to find out what happens next. #suebaru
5.0 out of 5 stars Loved It!! 19 May 2017

Ok y'all, as the title states this novella is the 2nd in a series, meaning you have to read the first book to know what's going on. Believe me though, you will not be disappointed. However, just because it is a quick read does not mean that you will not run a gamut of emotions, from the blossoming of true infatuation and all the tugging on the heartstrings that entails, to the introspection of the human psyche as Gavin delves into what makes him tick, to the humor that can come from a first blind date. I mean, who would choose hot yoga as a first date where you aren't allowed to talk for an hour and a half and then proceed to tell the guy he has a "dirty aura"? And at the end, or cliffhanger if you will, Gavin finds out why it might be best to disclose certain things upfront if you are starting to have feelings for one of your blind date challenges. I cannot wait for the next installment and I truly hope Gavin can get it all figured out so he can get that HEA that I really want him to have! This is definitely a one-click book for sure, as is everything by this author, that I think you will all enjoy.
5.0 out of 5 stars BT Urruela delivers once again1 14 May 2017

Usually, I do not like cliffhangers. But BT promised that we wouldn't have to wait long and he kept his word to his readers. I loved Part Two and I am anxiously awaiting Part Three!! BT's writing has a wonderful flow to it and I am hooked every single time to the story he's giving me.

In Part Two, we are still following Gavin's 30 day dating challenge. I don't want to give anything away, so I will just say that Gavin is finding that his heart is pulling for one lady specifically, however another is taking up some of Gavin's thoughts. Through these date, I laughed, my heart smiled and I find I am pulling for one lady in particular. And someone it seems, wants to mess with his head. I absolutely adore Gavin's time with his grandma. And I laughed out loud a few times when he's with his friend Bobby and Andy.

This is a quick read that you don't want to miss if you read Part One. You will experience a few emotions and some laughter. I am patiently (not really...I want it now) waiting on Part Three!
