Product Description

“Sometimes we choose to forget the things in life that hurt us the most.”
What has Abigail forgotten? What has been erased?
Plenty, apparently...
Abigail, the self-proclaimed hexed, is falling apart at the seams. She’s mad at the world—at the series of doors that continue to slam in her face. Most of all, she’s mad at herself.
When her best friend Sammy interferes in her spiral of self-loathing with an intervention, she finds herself entering through the door of a successful law firm and right into Marcus’ lap. Literally.
He’s sophisticated, funny, alluring…but also underhanded. There’s something else about Marcus that Abigail never expected. Magic.

Thirty Days - Part One, is just the beginning of one amazing story that has twists and turns you'll never see coming.

If ever the klutzes of the world got together to recognize the best of the best of those who share that singular trait, Abigail McMillian would be there deserving of at least an honorable mention. Factor in the series of unfortunate events she's experienced in the last few years and it's not really any wonder that her life is spiraling out of control, with her, increasingly turning to alcohol to help numb the pain.

Not prepared to settle for that, her friends stage an intervention that sets her life off on a tangent that she could never have predicted. With new people, new challenges and a hauntingly familiar, and devastatingly handsome stranger, this first person narrative follows Abigail on a journey of self discovery where she can hopefully come to terms with the cumulative effect of the events that have effectively derailed her life.

I found Thirty Days: Part One to be a great read with effortless prose, oddball humor and, for me, familiar Australian colloquialisms and phrasing. There were though, every now and then, the occasional passage that struck me as being truly odd. One naturally expects, in the first book of a trilogy, bits and pieces to act as teasers for what is to come, but my experience was that of reading passages that gave me the impression of belonging in a different genre altogether than what I thought I was reading. If you too have this experience, all I can say without venturing into spoiler territory is that Belle Brooks knows what she's doing.

As I finished the book, I would have been happy giving it four or five stars because, even taking into account those passages that just seemed weird to me, I loved it. Having read what is to follow, I'd be inclined to bump that rating up a notch and give it six if I could.

Ok, I hope I give these books justice in my review.

I don't want to give away anything about these books. Belle is an amazing writer, there are so many twists that had me crying, laughing and angry about thinking what might happen. So much so I stopped reading for 2 days because I
Couldn't bare the possibility of what might happen.

I even sent the author a PM so that she could tell me everything would be ok. She didn't and I'm so glad.

The characters are so loveable and you have no ide what's going to happen .

Thank you Belle I loved it ❤️❤️

Abigail's life is spiralling down fast after her fiance, Mike broke it off without warning or explanation. She got in trouble at her teaching job, fully believes she is hexed as bad things and accidents keep happening to her, and her dad passed away. Not to mention her alcohol consumption. At the end of part one, another in a long line of mishaps happens. Will Abi survive this time? The telling of this story is written in such a way that I could feel Abi's pain, sorrow and that she is an emotional wreck. I had a hard time putting this book down.

I've read one other book by this author in the past and that books ok was so full of emotions that I was excited to read this. I love the cover! It's different and beautiful.

Abi was a great heroine. She had this spunk about her that I found strong and enduring. It at the same time she was....... I can't even think of the right word, but at times I really didn't like her. I can't wait to see how she grows in the next book.

I really loved Marcus. He was one of those unique characters that brings the story to an amazing standpoint. He was so caring and sweet with Abi that you can't help but cheer him on.

I could go on and on about the whole story, but it's something that readers need to experience for them selves. I loved the author's writing and the amount of dialogue between the characters.

Overall, I can't wait to read part 2! I'm addicted to these characters and the story that Belle has wrote for us. The ending left me with my jaw dropped and anxiously waiting for more ! 4 stars #2OCCJD

Thirty Days Part 1
I struggled to get into this book to start with, but once in I couldn't put it down. There are so many twists and turns you don't see half of them coming.
Abigail makes you want to slap her for her beliefs. Her friends and family are worried but don't seem to be able to get through to her. Her character can only be described in one word stubborn. Not only do you want to slap her, but at the same time hold her and comfort her.
Abigail is so self absorbed she doesn't see what is around her or pay attention to the people around her. She doesn't see the simple things staring at her in the face.
Marcus is a breath of fresh air when he comes in, in his flirty ways. He is exactly opposite to everything Abigail is.
Belle Brooks is a breath of fresh Australian Air. She is a delight to read.
