What a great addition to the series. Where all books can be read as standalone, it is advised to read them in order as previous characters feature in later books and our characters from this book have featured in previous books.
I already felt quite invested in Loren and Ross as we've seen them so many times before in previous books and I genuinely thought I'd missed a book somewhere as couldn't find their story. So when I read the blurb for this book I was genuinely thrilled to know their story.
This book focuses mainly on how they got together 30 years ago and the traumatic experience Loren suffered which Ross helped her through. There are also parts of the book in the present which gives us a chance to catch up with the characters.
A brilliant book and although short it definitely doesn't feel rushed. Highly recommended.

Spoiler Ahead This was a short quick read about Loren and Ross and how they met since I started reading this series I always wanted to know their story. Loren and Ross met in college he was friends with her roommates brother. Ross is pre-law and he really likes Loren but he hasn't made a move on her because he has a secret to tell her first. When Loren is gang raped at a party after her drink was spiked. Ross promised her that he would take care of it and her and he helped her with her recovery and with the help of her roommate she did. Loren does know what to think about Ross he hasn't made a move on her and she thinks that he might be gay. When he tells her what he wants in a relationship she agrees. Ross is a Dom and a sadist and Loren is a squitter and enjoys being spanked and she also enjoys being under Ross's control. All of this was told in flash backs as she talked to Sully because one of the guys that raped her his sister contacted her she wanted to learn more about her brother. This was a good short story the book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling just like the rest of Tymber's books. I am looking forward to reading more books in this series.
