The characters are amazing Tate is entirely loveable and very deep, his intelligence far outweighs his attributes (and they are not shy of oh yeah) and its sexy as hell. I love how he loves Bobbi for who she is, and his romantic side is a blessing.
Bobbi may be a little reluctant at first then her awesomeness comes out and she is super kick ass. I love love love her relationship with her father and the easiness as she becomes family to the MC and their Beauty's.
The story within the story was brilliant it added a new dimension to the plot as a collective and I loved all the similarities to the brothers and the MC as a whole.
The emotions that are evoked at that of what you probably wouldn’t expect from a male writer (sorry I said it) but WOW this man can write and he can write amazing. Romance is no longer just a lady writer genre for me the mould is broken and it better stay that way.
I have to say reading the first five books in the series is an absolute must not only for their genuine goodness but it does make this last story shine all the more brighter because of them, because of the their stories and their struggles.
All up a brilliant finish to the series would love more but I still have Scott Hildreth's backlog to get through so I’m sure to be enthralled. So “Get up, Come on get down with the Thickness!!!!!
I liked this one and I didn't at times, what I didn't like was the book within a book, it just got to be a bit repetitive. Tate's a biker and romance writer who's books are based on his MC and the club members. The author, Scott Hildreth is the romance author who writes about a fella named Tate in a MC along with all the other members. So.... when Bobbi reads Tate's books, I'm reading about a book and characters in the book I've read...make sense?!?! Tate's final book is based on himself to a degree. Way to much reference to Weight Watchers and point counting, not dissing healthy eating but it was over done a bit. Oh and Bobbi's life long career is her wanting to help people and after getting rejected (due to weight) from the Police force she becomes a prison guard but throws it away without much fight to then become a cookbook author herself?
Again a few editing issues as well.
What I did like was Tate himself, he was a bit of a sweetie underneath the tats and muscles also a little bit old school with his aversion to technology and social media.
Bobbi, is a genuinely nice person I think and I did like that she wasn't your typical prison guard and could recognise the difference in the inmates she came into contact with, which was how their relationship started.
Overall as an ending to the series it was ok, the epilogue was nice.
Thick's love and devoation to his brothers through his writings was remarkable! His outlook on life was inspiring and wish more of us had that ability not to let technology run our lives on a daily basis! What impressed me the most was his perception on Bobbi! Thick being protrayed as this sexy biker, with a killer body, tattoos, and pierces yet when he looked at Bobbi he didn't see her issues with weight. What he saw a beautiful, compassionate woman who shared so many of his feelings and ideas.
A true brother to his MC through and through and a remarkable man with a heart of gold but would kick butt or kill for those that had suffered and justice wasn't given to them!!
