My minor complaints are that the base has a plastic shell. I'm thinking it helps with the heat loss but hope it lasts. And it lacks a holder ring on the bottle too.
Still it beats the Zojirushi on price by half, and the Contigo on the lid design and durability. 5/5 stars!
Now if only the Thermos cafe 200ml travel cup is just as good with heat retention...
Biggest gripe.... Not easy or convenient to clean after prolonged use. The newer version is IMHO a considerable improvement in all of these areas. But, I'd still prefer this version over most other options on the market, if that's all you can get.
What I dislike is the plastic bottom, susceptible for cracking the instant the bottle is dropped on any hard surface. I don't mean from a great height, just a small drop with a full bottle and you are guaranteed the plastic bottom will crack. There is no compromise on the actual water retention, it is just aesthetics with the plastic bottom.
Cheers Thermos, you've done it again !!
