Three generations of women,
Three second loves,
All with a dose of chaos mixed in.

Sometimes in life, changes can be good…
After losing her husband, her five cats, and her home, Charlotte Noel hates feeling dependent. As Charlotte tries to find her identity in this new stage of life, she comes to realize that drama never ends, dance aerobics can be a war zone, and love is always a possibility.

You never know when a midlife crisis is going to strike…

Charlotte’s daughter, Annie, is going through struggles of her own. Recently divorced, she is feeling frumpy and worn-out. Run ragged, Annie mourns her youth and wonders where her life is headed, all while hoping she can help her daughter Amelia get it together.

Settling down can be overrated, especially when you’re falling for a rock star look-alike…

Amelia is the wild child of the family. Working three jobs, because she just hasn’t figured out what she wants in life, she realizes happiness isn’t always settling down with a steady, dependable man; sometimes it’s about following your true passion and living on the edge.

No matter what age you are, life and love can be crazy…

5.0 out of 5 stars This book leaves you wanting more!! 22 March 2016

Amelia is young and thinks she’s in love. Annie her mother, has had her share of bad choices and regrets. Charlotte thinks she’s too old to love again. Three generations of women make this book enjoyable for all ages. Whether you’re thirty, fifty or eighty you’ll enjoy the many relatable hilarious happenings in this book. I’m very sad to have reached the end of this book. It’s like watching your favorite soap opera. I hope this author will be writing a sequel soon to Then Comes Love.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Feel Good Read! 8 May 2016

Then Comes Love is a sweet and adorable novel that draws you in and makes you feel certain emotions with the characters. Lindsay Detwiler does an amazing job at making the reader feel the "butterflies" of falling in love in addition to making the reader laugh at life's crazy moments. I have read all of Detwiler's other books and while they are all good, by far, Then Comes Love is my favorite. This is a perfect book to spend a rainy day with. Highly recommend this author and book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Then Comes Love is probably one of the best ARCs I've had to pleasure of reading. . . . 25 March 2016

Format: Kindle Edition
"Sometimes love changed everything. Sometimes love came when you least expected it. Sometimes you gave up on life, gave up on finding out who you were supposed to be. And then, when you'd forgotten what it felt like, when you'd dismissed the ideal entirely . . . then, well . . . then came love."

I haven't had a lot of luck with ARCs lately. Honestly, I'd pretty much quit taking them. And then Lil' Maso asked me if I wanted to read this little gem. She sent over the blurb and I immediately just.....knew.

This was going to be a good one.

I am SO glad I was right! So glad I decided to review it. Sweet, comical, and a story that follows love through three generations, Then Comes Love is probably one of the best ARCs I've had to pleasure of reading. I would recommend it to anyone...and everyone.....of any age.

After the death of her husband, Charlotte is heading off to an assisted living facility. Needless to say, she's not thrilled about the idea. She is certain she's going there to rot away the rest of her days. But why not? Her husband is gone and she's not getting any younger . . . .but maybe age really is just a number.

Annie (50) is Charlotte's daughter, and her husband has just left her for a thirty-something hussy. At this stage in life, after all she's been through - the pain, the betrayal, the having to start over - she can't help but question the point of it all. She doesn't even know who she is after being a wife and mother for so long. And life is already crazy enough with her aging mother and wild daughter. Love is definitely out of the question . . . or is it?

Amelia (30) is the daughter of Annie and the granddaughter of Charlotte. She's in the prime of her life and dating a man who is safe, a man she can have children with and build a life with. But grandma Charlotte knows her wild-child of a granddaughter needs something more, someone who won't stifle her vibrant, spontaneous, go-with-the-flow personality. Neville is not that person. So, when an opportunity (and the right guy) shows up at her door....well, grandma Charlotte devises a plan to free Amelia from a life of decaf coffee and stuffy family dinners.

There were some serious LOL moments. Some sappy, make you cry moments. And just an overall sense of hope as these three women navigate through the messiness of life and love. Seriously, if you're looking for a sweet, uplifting, fun read, this. is. IT! Grab it at any of the retailers down below:

Keep reading....and stay saucy! <3

5.0 out of 5 stars Unique story! 18 March 2016
By Amy McClung - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
This is the story of three generations of women finding love. They are all at different stages in their life but their current situations are similar and intertwined. Charlotte steals the show for me with her spunky attitude and the love for her family, including her precious cats. (I love Butternut). One of my favorite quotes of hers was "Honey at my age, I don't really too much about creepos. Besides, if he is one, I'm fine with it. He'd be a fine sight before I got murdered." My heart went out to Annie for the heartache she suffered from her ex-husband. Her pain and lack of self confidence were evident. The author painted a picture of hopelessness and defeat that made you want to give Annie a hug and kick her ex's arse. Lastly, Amelia, the thirty-something who isn't sure what she wants. Should she settle down or take a chance? I think the choice she made was what was best for her, not everyone will agree I'm sure, but I was happy with the way it turned out.
I adored this book and the unique style of blending the three generations of love stories. It was unlike anything I'd read before. My favorite quote in the book is "I've realized every single stage of life is beautiful and wonderful in it's own way. I think life isn't about age. It's about finding things that make you happy, that fulfill you, at every single stage of your life." The quote is a perfect summary of what you learn in this book. I highly recommend this read!
