About the Author

A graduate of South Dakota State University with a Masters Degree in Geography and History, Debra has been a teacher, a preschool liaison, freelance writer, bookkeeper and journalist. She won a number of awards for her feature stories while working at the Merced, California, Sun-Star, a newspaper with a circulation of 25,000. She sold her first book to Harlequin Superromance in 1999. Debra and her husband Paul own a general contracting business specialising in remodelling. They have two college-age children and live in the foothills of the Sierra in central California.
